    February Exercise Challege

    Hi Guys! Well its been an interesting week for me. We have been dumped on with snow. Like 14 inches. It's crazy. I did make it to the gym last night thought for spin class. We had a different instructor which blah...I really like my instructor. She was okay I guess just doesn't push us as hard. I do count snowblowing and shoveling as exercise though. I mean it was so deep I had to shovel it around first before i could snow blow some of it. Anyways my upper back is killing me. By my shoulder blades. I've been really bad to about my nutrition. I like went a bit nutty while getting food while trapped in the house. Ohhh I have good news. I'm going on a trip in may to Panama with my g/f. Her work is paying for it all! So I have a new incentive to loose some more weight. Weee

    February Exercise Challege

    Hi Guys, Sorry I was slacking posting here. I have been sick alot this month. It's not been good. First I was sick with bronchitis, then i got better then the kid got the croup. Then I came down with another head cold. I think..think..I am finally a healthy household. Haven't done a whole lot in January. Yesterday went to the Y and just did some leg lifts and crunches. Also did the treadmill for 25 minutes. I've been leary of it since I came down with tendonitis in my ankle. But it felt just fine being on there. Even did some good running on it. It's amazing how good I felt. I could go for so much longer without feeling like I was dying. Anyways..the leg lifts were important to me. I never get through them in my saturday strength class. So I committed to working on them more so I can get through them at the class. I have spin class tonight. Still loveeee this class! Hey daddy! It's great when you see yourself progress in the spin class. All of a sudden it doesn't feel like your gonna completely die in that class. One day it'll be nice not to be the biggest one in the class too (talking about me here..lol) Man those people are fit. All the girls have "chicken" legs too I call them. They look soooo good! I want that!

  4. Since I've had this band for quite awhile know there is nothing I fear more then vomiting with the band. I do not have the anti nausea stuff that others seem to have so if you can get that I would. But I have lived through the puking. But honest its the scariest thing ever. The band just doesn't want it to come up (sorry to be graphic here). So it lasts so much longer than a normal vomiting episode would be. I'm soo scared its gonna slip the band but nothing I can do you know.. body just takes over. Anyways happy to report this band can take a beating. No slippage in 5 years. So I wouldn't worry too much with being sick. But yeah..it sucks!

    Well if its working for you thats all that matters. It's probably just a matter of where your fitness level is. For me a half an hour wouldn't be enough. But for a beginning 30 minutes would give you great results. So if its working for you, keep with it. Maybe down the road you might have to reevaluate. Happy exercising :frown:

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    I dunno guys having a bad week. My friends son passed away it's been really hard. He was only 26. Had the wake last night. Just been a rough week with kid still ill too. This weather is bringing me down. Ankle still hurts..and wearing this wrist brace sucks. Just taking a week off I think. Decided I will go to the Saturday class for sure and start over again. Hoping by then it warms up a little. Just seems so dangerous being out in this right now. I don't have a great car either. I'm also going to do some leg lifts and stuff at home tonight. Hope everyone is doing well.

    How Many Last Meals ... ?

    I was too busy doing the pre-op liquid diet to do any last meal stuff. Glad I didn't cause it's really silly. There is nothing "off limits" to me and my band. But it's usually a huge waste of money because I don't eat much of it anyways. Just everyone please relax and not go into a panic that you are not going to eat your favorite food ever again. I just don't think that's true. It's really not worth the extra weight gain that your going to have to do either. Take care..happy losing. Di

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Hi Guys! Well sorry haven't been around much. I did workout out Saturday, strength class, Sunday, weights, crunches and 20 minute bike (5 miles). I've had to take a few days off now cause of my little one being ill. Can't take her to the Y. I am now using my brace for my carpal tunnel. I bought one for my ankle but it made my foot fall asleep. LOL. Not gonna work. I'm gonna buy the shoe inserts like the doctor suggested. Ugh I feel like my body is letting me down. Heyy Daddy thats sooo cool about that article. Your famous :rolleyes2:

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Hi guys..wow they changed the way the site looks.. Anyways went to spin class last night. It's always harder on thursday since I went on tuesday and I'm still sore..lol. Anyways I survived had a great time. Didn't get the crunches in though cause I was running late to class. Hey Jess30. Don't be too hard on yourself. Really this isn't a race. Your body will change if you stick to exercising overall. Everyone has skipped a few days..or a few weeks even and its okay. If you stay focused on your overall goal your going to get there. Just remember that you can't expect to get there without exercise in your life. Hope you get some gym time in soon.

    Personally I would be honest about him about your weight before you go. Nothing is worse then seeing a disappointed face at a first date. This way again if he's that shallow then you haven't wasted your time. I know its hard but you should do it. Also tell him what your doing now so that he knows that your in a "transformation" stage. That works well for me.

    Now I do agree that it's bad to just go out with someone a second time to just use them for their pocket book. Your also wasting yours and your dates valuable time. But to just go out on a date to meet someone and it doesn't work out I think it's okay to say..hey I got a free meal at least. You know why? Cause of all the other hell in life we women have to go through that you men will never ever have to experience. So there..LOL.

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Okay had some trouble with this site but it looks like its working again for me. Okay Monday night just did the circuit training stuff..lots of crunches..and 20 minutes on the bike did about 5 miles i think. I keep on treating these bikes like spin bikes and they so can't take it. LOL Last night I went to spin class. Can I just say once again I fricken LOVE this class. Ankle was bothering me though a bit. I just wanna exercise without having to think of something hurting..it's annoying

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Okay worked out Saturday FINALLY! Was a killer strength training session. My god my abs hurt. I keep on hesitating to cough now cause it hurts. Anyways just about over the bronchitis thank goodness. Ankle is bothering me though. Didn't go Sunday. Tonight I already have my bag packed in the car for the gym so I will definitely go. No step class though like usual. I so miss it. Anyways weighed in Saturday. Gained a pound over the two weeks which isn't bad at all really with new years and everything. But still..gotta start going down again. Oh I won a pilates workout dvd and book in a drawing in my saturdays class. Between thanksgiving and xmas we put in a slip of paper with our name into a jug for every pound we lost..then we had the drawing and I won :eek: Daddy gratz on the tshirt..thats soo cool..I had a good laugh with the candy machine thing. Someone is on your side for sure

    fish oil?

    Fish oil is a great supplement to take. It's the omega 3 stuff. Anyways the problem is the pills are quiet large. If anyone can find smaller fish oil pills let me know.

    Got Something Stuck While Eating

    hiccups are a sign that your stuck. I think it's your body's way of trying to unstuck food in your esophagus. I don't know..but it's really annoying and happens all the time to me. I usually just end up pb'ing..which I'm sure is not good. But the hiccups are painful and annoying. PB and they are magically gone

    JFran daddy's sometimes say the dumbest things I swear. When I told mine I was having surgery he said.."Well I guess you gotta make your hook look better if your gonna catch any fish" ugh.. Okay right now there's some hot maintenance guy standing in front of my cube on a ladder doing something in the ceiling..wow..just wow..lol..gonna be a good day..lol btw..still very single..LOL..not even trying

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Okay so it turns out on top of the bronchitis..I have carpel tunnel in my right arm and also tendonitis in my ankle. Sooo I have to get a wrist brace thingy..oh joy..and i have to wrap my ankle and get better every day shoes. Apparently my foot wraps a bit when i walk. Also I can do spin class but no step aerobics..no basketball..no tennis. Nothing that is turning or hard on the foot. Just glad I can keep exercising. But yeah guys nothing is worse then being injured and not being able to work out so watch yourselfs and be careful. Mother has spoken..LOLLL Glad everyone is doing great. JM I know your frustrations. You gotta really look at your nutrition. I swear if you just eat whole foods your going to be fine. Gotta really look at what your eating. I know thats what it is. Most personal trainers will tell you they would rather see you eat healthy then work out at all. Processed foods are the devil I tell you..lol

    Well finally went to the docs and I have bronchitis. So now I'm feeling muchhhh better on antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine. I also made another appointment for today to get my ankle and wrist looked at finally!. I hope they just don't think its in my mind. Or just send me home with an antiinflammatory..cause that won't do crap. Also stopped by the Y to make sure I wouldn't get kicked from my classes. All is well. Glad to see everyone is going at it hard. I'll be back soon :grouphug:

    Well I'm still sick. I'm hacking up green stuff now (sorry don't mean to gross anyone out). It's not bronchitis yet I know when it's bad enough to get in the doctors with it. I'm also tired because it's keeping me up at night. I'm trying not to panic about any weight gain but I'm a bit depressed that I can't work out. I contimplated going to the Y tonight but I don't know if that would really help me. Anyways gratz to Daddy for 100 pounds. Wow you lost so fast. So cool. Also JM why you wanna give up the dairy? Maybe I missed that somewhere.

    Hi guys..didn't die or anything. Just been really sick..:sick I don't know when I'll be able to get back at it. Going to go to the docs tomorrow morning. I keep on thinking I'm getting better than get worse again. I think it's a sinus infection. I dunno just wanna chop my head off..lol. oh and yes..high fructose corn syrup is the devil! but suprisingly cheese is not. Although the harder the cheese the better. Has to do with the glycemic index thing again. Doesn't absorb into the body as fat..although I'm still learning about all this. Anyways if we all just stick to natural whole foods..which yes cheese isn't really..but its made with whole foods..so pretty close..lol..and no high fructose corn syrup!
