  1. Congratulations! Great job!
  2. Thanks for your replys. @ SuperMom I have not taken any pain medicine since I left the hospital the end of November. The only thing I've taken with any type of pain medicine is Alka Seltzer Plus Severe Sinus Congestion Allergy & Cough Medicine which I took in December. My Alkaline Phoshatase is 280, Ast 46 and Alt 68. They were always normal before the surgery.(checked all my lab result back to 2009. The NP stated it could be stressed from the surgery. Checked online and it states it can be high due to a number things such as liver disease, bone disease, cancer and hepatitus. My PCP does not think its heptitus. I am a non drinker and I do not have my gallbladder any more. I am just a little concerned because I have been so tired. I searched the web and it says it can be live damage, blocked bile duct, I had been contributing it to my low potassium and VitD. I am scheduled to have my labs redone this week. Hopefully everything is back to normal.
  3. Hello I just had a 2 month follow-up appointment with my NP. She stated my Alkaline phosphatase, AST and ALT levels are elevated and they want to keep an eye on it. Are there any other sleevers out there that have had this type of issue. If so would you please share your experience with me? I would appreciate it if your would.
  4. I was sleeved 6 weeks ago. I was instructed to take: (2) Multivitamins (1) calcium citrate w/vitaminD (1000-1500mg per day) (1) sublingual Vitamin B12 (500-1000mcg per day) (1) VitaminD-2 (50,000 units weekly) (1) Biotin (1) Potassium (20mg) (1) Magnesium (500mg) Hopefully I will not need to take so many after I have my bloodwork done in 2 weeks. I was wondering if everyone else was told to make sure they take the multivitamin and the calcium at least 4 hours apart.

All I Could Do Was Cry

I was told the same thing before surgery. The doctor put me on 50,000 units of vitamin D once a week for 8 weeks. They told the diabetes should be resolve after having the surgery. I am three weeks out and glucose levels have dropped. The surgery has improved that as well as my blood pressure levels. Hope this gives you some peace of mind. I pray everything works out with your approval.

    Protein

Thanks for the info. I might just order some. I am only two weeks out (tomorrow) and I need to work on finding more ways to add protein to my diet. I did try adding beef jerky but I think the sodium is too much for me. I hope I will have a 75 lb lost in 6 months as well. However I appear to be a slow loser at this point. I am sure it will get better in time.
