    Adjusting calories for work outs?

If you are in a coma you are burning more than 1000 calories a day. Your body uses energy just to keep living. You do have to burn more than you consume but you have to take into account how much your body is using. Your body burns calories all of the time. You do not have to burn more than you eat with exercise because you will burn more than 1000 a day just by living. That being said, do what feels right for you. Talk with your doctor and nutritionist to find out what is right for yourself.

    Adjusting calories for work outs?

I eat around 1600 cals a day and have done very well at that. I was not doing well with my exercise with less calories. Even at 1600 calories a day I am STILL burning more than I am consuming. Also, exercise will help you build muscle and muscle burns more calories than fat does. In my experience, more calories in helped me to have the energy I need to workout hard. I'm currently training for a half marathon while a year ago I couldn't run for even 1 minute without stopping.

    vegetarian diet

I use protein shakes for breakfast and a Morningstar hot dog with black beans for lunch. A 0% fat greek yogurt like chobani apple cinnamon for snack. I still eat eggs so those and some beans for dinner. Tofu is great. Boca has a nice low cal high protein tomato basil veggie burger.

    2 NSVs in 1 day

1st = my heart stayed in the perfect fitness zone during my run instead of jumping out of zone (heart rate monitor speak for my heart is working better at high intensity exercise) 2nd = my fitted UA pants fell off while I was running. I'm glad I ran at home in those :-) !!!
  20. Keep going. Don't give up. It will come off. Get outside and walk! Bring someone with you if it's a problem going alone. You can do it!!!
  21. Well, I do need a fill but I am doing ok. I know I need the fill because my old eating habits are creeping back. I ate half a container of Chinese tofu tonight and wasn't thinking about eating. That is exactly how I got into trouble in the first place! I don't want to risk a step back by ignoring this just because I am doing fine so far. Now I only wish I had noticed sooner so that I could make an appointment for this coming week. The office will be closed for Christmas since they only do fills on Wednesdays. This means I have to wait until the new year or even the week after that. Time to get back to being super aware of everything that comes near my mouth.

In major need of a fill

I always track everything. It keeps me accountable.

In major need of a fill

Thanks for the responses. I'm still losing (averaging about a pound a week now) I just worry that I won't be able to continue to loose if I give in to old habits. I'm working hard at doing the right things. I know what to do and I have gotten far enough that I know I CAN do it. I do need a fill but until then I will be all over thwse boards seeking support to keep making the best choices.
