  1. My surgery is Tuesday so I can't add my own two cents but I was wondering, Myturn12, since you are self-pay (as am I), did you have to pay for the revision surgery and will you have to pay again for the next lapband surgery? I hope you don't mind me asking, I'm just curious about selfpayer's experiences. Thanks, and I hope everything works out for you!

    period right after band?!?!

Question.. were any of you ladies on BC before/during the surgery? I am taking Yazmin and I am hoping I will be able to maintain a somewhat regular schedule after my surgery next week but I guess you never know!

Lower Bmi: 5'5 And 219lbs. Anyone Like Me?

I have a question for you both (and other low bmi'ers)... did you have any problems with excess skin? I;ve heard stories and seen pictures of people with excess skin problems, but they lost 100+ lbs. Any advice? Any exercise tips to help with skin tightening? Thanks! And you both look great!

    Banded & Studying Abroad?

So a year after you posted this, I'm running into the same problem. I am getting banded next week and going abroad eight months after that (for fall semester starting late August, in Europe). What was your experience with the band while being abroad? I am also going to be abroad this summer in South America from May-August, and just want to take all precautions before I travel. Thanks!

    Crazy Skinny Goals!

My goal is to take belly dancing lessons! My surgery is next week and my goal is to lose 80-100lbs (im 230 now) in a year, but not sure if my new years resolution is a bit far fetched.

    Getting Lap Banded Jan 4

Also getting banded Jan 3rd! Today is day 5 of the pre-op diet, and its just now starting to get easier. It's been hard having to go to holiday parties and be surrounded by food and not be able to eat any of it (yesterday there were bagels and lox on my dining table, a huge test of my willpower to not eat any!). I'm excited to ring in the new year (sans alcohol, unfortunately) knowing that the year will be filled with weight-loss accomplishments. Good luck to the rest of the January bandsters, and happy holidays!
