Recently Banded And Wearing Regular Clothes Again
difa replied to 2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had "moobs" since age 15 (and I wasn't overweight then). I recently bought a couple Gynecomastia Chest Binder shirts..to flatten my unflattering moobs. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to have surgery to have them removed. -
Recently Banded And Wearing Regular Clothes Again

Other than wearing an undershirt i did not. i did get a tiny bit of leakage; which I knew was going to happen, but blood will wash out of a white undershirt. -
Introducing Myself! (A Bit Long)
difa replied to LoriW188's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good Luck on your journey! Welcome to LBT! You will succeed! Thanks for sharing your story! -
HAHAHAHA man thats so gross! This morning I woke up to my two year old putting his hind end in my face and letting one rip. I asked him why he did that and he said "MY BUTT STINKS!"
-
Ok so I have to share this story. Its disgusting, but funny. Feel free to share your disgusting work stories or while you are out and about stories. I was in the men's restroom and I was heading to the sink. As I approached the sink this guy walked in with his eyes closed and he was grunting. He slammed himself into a stall (this guy is like 7 foot tall and probably weighs 400lbs). He slammed himself on the toilet and let out a scream-grunt and then opened the floodgate. He then apparently slipped off of the toilet...cursed and then got back up. I quickly left the bathroom. But about 15 minutes later someone commented that the bathroom looked like a monkey flung poo everywhere.

Why is it that so many people make a duck face when posing for pictures? I don't get it...but man...seriously..just look natural in your photos! I doubt you walk around looking like a duck everyday!
-
ZING! Quack Quack. Why is the duck face sometimes combined with short shorts? what are we saying here?

So Friday I have an appointment for my first fill. I have some friends in town and they are going to a water park that day as well. Do you think I'll be fine to enjoy the park right after getting my first fill?
-
I had my surgery on 6/4/2012. My first fill is a week from this coming Friday. I hope my doctor is liberal on his fills!
-
What I think is also gross is when you are at the urinal and another guy walks in and starts to use the urinal next to you and he feels open enough to fart right next to you while you are both peeing. TOTALLY DISGUSTING. I seriously turned to the guy while I was pissing and ended up hitting his shoe so I could say "seriously? you had to fart in my general direction?"
-
Apparently he was hovering over the seat because he didnt have time to put one of those tissue protectors down (i know seriously?!?) and when he blasted off he missed the stool a little and the blastoff also threw off his balance and he landed on the seat which was then wet and he slipped off.

I haven't had a fill yet, but I'm down from 265 to 247. Though my weight will flucuate between 247 and 252. Though in the morning it'll go down to near that 247 point. I can't wait until I get a good fill.
-
i use my fitbit and myfitnesspal...though I have stopped logging in my food diary. Mostly because my calorie intake is always the same. I average between 1200 and 1600 calories. Which is good considering I havent had a fill yet.

a friend of mine had a problem after we went for some breakfast recently. I got a veggie omelet and they got this cajun spicy omelet crap. After we got to the car they said they had to get to a toilet quick. I waited in the car but 15 mins later he came out and said he overflowed the gas stations one unisex bathroom...that they also had done a little business in their pants...so they threw their underwear away...they said they couldnt ever return to that gas station.

CONGRATS!!! -
I agree. thats even good for anyone with reflux before the band...eat at 6 or 630pm and dont go to bed until like 11pm. Now if you go workout a couple hours after eating...that would help as well.
-
OH and by the way why must all surgical procedures be cheap for people? I still say there's a specific reason why you created an account almost 4 years ago and just now decided to post. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
-
The failure rate is mostly from when you decide to not change your diet. The band is for people who can diet but can't keep it off or dieting and exercise results in little weight change. But thanks to continue to stretch the true. Increasing failure rate? Most people who state this talk about studies from people who have older bands. The newest band is a different cat. You can do whatever you wish on this board. I'm already banded. You might as well put an advertisement for your website or product you're going to advertise soon. Or perhaps you're from the weight watchers board and your overly sad because you've tried every diet and exercise but you haven't lost any weight. Just my .02
-
Amy or whomever you are. Lapband is NOT advertised as a quick fix for weightloss here on LBT. If anything we preach its a tool to assist on weight loss. You still have to exercise and diet.
-
I'm still curious as to how you have an account since 2008 (4 years old) and then of all days you post now bashing any kind of surgery to assist with weight loss. I'm curious as to your medical background? Where did you get your degree? Have you authored any journals or studies on how ANY kind of weightloss surgery isn't a tool to weightloss?
