I'm gonna have to use the gym here at work. I was going to sign up at 24 hour fitness and my wife just gave me a look like "when are we going to have time to do that." I just shrugged her off...

We do hold hands from time to time....she's had quite an attitude as of late ... and she's apologized at times...and relates it to work stress and the fact that she isn't happy with the weight she's lost. But we do hold hands and I guess you could say we cuddle at night...but the intimacy level were at when we met prior to getting married a few years ago is gone....

My surgeon's office said they used to say don't use a straw...they've changed their opinion on that ...now they say "use a straw if it doesn't cause you any discomfort".

my date is set at June 26th. I'm trying to get it moved up a couple weeks. I'll probably know in a week or two if my surgery date will be moved to the week of June 14th.

Thankfully my PCP doctor knew they wanted her to see me and not her nurse...otherwise I would have been denied. Most insurances follow the guidelines of MEDICAID/MEDICARE. Which of course is ran by the government. Good luck to everyone in this thread!

So my surgery will be sometime between the 2nd and the last week of June. I'll have it tied down on Monday!

Very inspirational. My wife was banded last October (late october) and has lost 50 lbs...when I took her to JC Penny's she actually got into a smaller size and she was just in the normal jeans section..not the maternity (which she expected)....I can't wait until my waist size goes down...I expect to be in at least 34 waist jeans next year at this time.

you'll be fine. they wont cancel your surgery. My wife slipped on the liquid diet during her pre-op two week diet and her surgery went fine.

a roll of quarters weigh a half a pound btw...so yeah that would be a lot of quarters... perhaps wear sweats the day you are weighed and wear ankle weights heh

put a few rolls of quarters in your pockets!

Congrats to you! My surgery is set for June 26, 2012 (though I'm trying to get it moved to an earlier date...we'll see).

So my insurance company sent over my approval last wednesday and then Thursday at 4:45pm the scheduler called to schedule my appointment, so when I tried calling them back they already closed shop. Now its Monday at 12:39pm and I have yet to get ahold of the scheduler. I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED. She says she will call me, but I'm at work and I work monday - friday 10a-630pm so I don't know what to do and I'll be upset if this delay puts me into July.

And I finally speak with the scheduler who acts more like a doctor and my information so far is: 2nd Surgeon appointment on 06/20/2012 Surgury 06/26/2012. Going to try to get the appointment moved up by a couple weeks because of a new surgeon which I won't know for a couple weeks...we will see.

oh did i mention that I called in to see when the best time was to talk with her and I've been on hold for over 5 minutes with their front desk.
