About Me
Hello, I was sleeved on 11-15-11 What a journey! I am doing well now 5 weeks out and can eat almost anything in very small quantity. Food is no longer what it used to be to me. As I can have so little I give it thought as to what do I want.. then realize its so little its not worth worrying about..
Restaurants are ok , all the entrees are way to much for me now. A 1/4 cup is my bowl now. Everything is eaten at 1.4 cup. and not one bite more.
Food is no longer the enemy, but a necessity , fuel for the tank..so to speak.
My main goal is to be healthy again. Comorbidities- Migraines, Reflux, arthritis, high cholesterol, swelling in ankles, feet and calves . ( thats gone already 2 wk post op! amazing)
I don't expect to rid myself of the migraines as its an inherited "family curse", so I would be happy with no high blood pressure and low cholesterol and no more GERD.
I'm a Mom to three and have been unhappy with my weight for twenty one years. I have never been able to rid myself of the weight completely, and have steadily gained till now.
I like you, have tried almost every diet and weight loss method only to fail and regain it all back plus some. Including personal trainer and gym membership. Earlier this year I was then going 5-6 days a week to the gym my feet hurt terribly when I arrived home for hours and hours... and three doctors later, was diagnosed with osteo arthritis in my feet! (of all places!!!) The treadmill is my favorite thing. I am having to re invent my workout.. and swimming and recumbant bike will need to fill in for some of my cardio. I also like yoga but haven't really mastered it. Luckily I do like the weights too.
Being two weeks out means I am learning every day about something new!.. and right now enjoying the losing streak!. 23.9 down 98 to go
Cheers!
