I should have added that this was my choice because no one knows but my mother and husband that I had surgery and I'm going back to work soon where food is all over so I wanted to see how I would react,... I did great!!

I agree I'm 4 weeks out and down over 20 pounds.. You need to wait to get a dress or maybe pick one out you like and make sure it can be altered.. On that thought though you may find a totally different kind of dress to show off your new body in.. So just wait until you have to shop :smile1:

Congrats!! My insurance came back in just 10 days! I was shocked also.. Get your mind set different now because the ball game changes alot after surgery for the positive. You go from the the pressure of "wanting" it so bad to the "reality" of making your life the best it can be... I'm 4 weeks out and down 25 pounds!! I'm on cloud nine and can not wait for the rest of the journey.. My BMI of 35 was right at the cut off for my insurance so I was really worried.. Take care and good luck

I did not tell anyone (my husband and my mother know) I have looked into this andd the lab-band for 3 years. I dd I did not tell anyone except my hubby.... so far so good

You Look TERRIFIC!!! I'm 5' 1.5" also.. I started out 193 lbs the day of surgery (Dec 14th) I'm down to 174.6 today.. You inspire me..

I did not have any staples only glue.. I still have a small amount of the glue 3 wks later..

I just had surgery a few weeks ago and that did not bother me at all. Don't get me wrong I was SO ready for it to come out after a day and a half. But they are filling you with so much fluids that it would be far worst to get up to use the potty or bed pan every few hours then to have that in... Don't stress.. you will be fine

It took me almost a week to have a normal # 2. I felt better when it happened.. that may be where your pain is coming from. I felt the same until I finally did you know what ..

I love the expensive panties at Kohls but I'm not going to pay the $ for them while I'm losing weight.. I bought the Hanes Her way instead. They are really nice and got 3 pairs for less them 12 bucks.. Pretty comfortable too.. I might just stay with them. I didn't know you could buy panties for such a good price that really look good and feel good!! I bought the sting bikini ones and they have plenty of coverage for my rear end!

I am 3 weeks out and have had a terrible cold for the past 5 days.. I used Vicks rub to clear my head when I slept ( or tried to sleep at night) and regular cough med with only tylenol in it. Being sick kind of made me NOT eat as much as I'm supposed to but I forced myself to keep up with the fluids.. I'm feeeling better now.. you will too soon.. Keep the FLUIDS going in! take care

I hear where you are coming from. I have two bad discs in my neck and that hurt me more than my surgery did. It took over a week before it started feeling better. I have an appt on Jan 15 for an infection on my neck. I've done pretty well on the Protein. I've been drinking Isopure (40 protein in 20 oz) I do not like any milk drinks so these worked for me. They have a good apple and grape. They have several others but those are my favorite and I can drink them without to much problem.. Hang in there and things will fall in place for you. I'm scared to death of my hair falling out so I'm going to find away to keep that from happening..

I think you look terrific! My husband and I started doing WII dance and I can tell I'm using muscles I havent used in a long time..or ever! It was 28 outside today so walking a mile or so wasn't going to happen, LOL The WII is so fun too.. You just kind of move in funny ways to try to match the person on the video.. Anyway, I thought I would share because my weight has not been overly big either and I was bummed out.. 3 weeks tomorrow and only 15 pounds! Take care

Only 90% self pay is so worth it!!! You will NOT be unhappy.. spend the money on yourself.. trust me you will be happy!! It sounds like your insurance plan is pretty good. I wanted to have the lap-band done in 2007 and my plan didn't cover it. So I kind of gave up. Then my husband's new insurance in 2011 covered the SLEEVE and the Lap-band. I went to the meeting with the doctor and decided that the Sleeve was right for me. I have lost 15 pound since Dec 14th Spend the money on yourself.. you will not be sorry..

I was sleeved on Dec 14th this is what I take 2 Barirtric Advantage mutli - one in the morning and one in the late afternoon ( chewable berry flavored - pretty good) 3 calcuim chews - 1 an hour before breakfast then 1 at lunch and dinner- ( these are very good - taste like a carmel) VIT B sublingual - 1 drop under the tongue once per day - *** I switched to a monthly shot at my family Doctor last week... I can go to my PCP without an appt to see the nurse for the shot. No appt just stop in for the shot. The drops I have a very messy and stain clothes. Learned the hard way on a beautiful shirt my hubby got me for Christmas!! I do not do well with pills so any chews or drops or shots is great for me.. hang in there.. you will find your grove!!

My surgery was Dec 14th and it took about 5 days for the "extra" water and gas weight to be gone for me.. I could tell a difference in my belly every day. Everyday it seems to go down a little. It's gets better

Oh WOW!!! I'm soo sorry for you.. I know how upset I would be if that happened to me.. You are so right to be upset. Maybe they can call the insurance company and explain?? My surgery was down to the wire because I had to have it done by year end because my insurance was changing as of Jan 1st!! I was approved by the insurance I had but my Dr was booked up for the year!! Anyway he added 1 day to his schedule for 3 of us so it all worked out. So keep the faith and hopefully you Dr's office will go fix it for you... Good Luck
