Hello, just joined your group tonight. I am wanting to have lap band surgery. I am 5'6 and weigh 243 pounds. I have been through several doctor appointments and am meeting with the psychiatrist need week. I am praying my insurance will approve me for the surgery. I tried to have the surgery a couple years ago and the surgeon I met with would not do the surgery. He said I was a big healthy girl. I did not have any other medical conditions besides being overweight. I am doing a Sleep Apnea test next Friday and am hoping that will be my magic bullet to get my insurance to approve the surgery and get started. I am not sure of all the hoops I need to go through to get a surgery date. I would love to hear your stories of how long it took to get a surgery date. I really want to do this in January. I may be wishing for too much. I am just sooo ready to get this weight off and start living my life again!!
