    How Long Was Your Process?

It was less than three months for me from my information session (mid november) until my surgery Feb 6th
  2. Thank you all for being so fab!! I'm still in the hospital getting tons of IV antibiotics and nutrition. I've just been given my first tray of clears to work my way through. My WBC is down from over 16000 to right over 10000 (4500-10000ish is the normal range). So the antibiotics are working. I really wated to go home today but not a single person has mentioned it, so I'm guessing tomorrow at the earliest.
  3. The good news- there was no leak!! The bad news- I have such a bad postoperative infection that my sleeve has swollen almost closed. I've been admitted to the hospital and am being pumped full of IV antibiotics and pain meds.
  4. So far my WBC count is really high
  5. I pretty much sobbed my way through 18oz of CT contrast/apple juice.
  6. That's right where I've been the past 4 hours
  7. I won't give a number rating now bc I feel I haven't been sleeved long enough to really know (6 days) but I've lost 14.5lbs in those days so that's definitely something to think about! My husband said my surgery took 45 mins but my time in the recovery room was more than double that.
  8. If you want to do cheats, I can not even convey how much your cheats should be safe, wise food choices. Like maybe a slice of turkey or cottage cheese or soup. When I read 'popcorn' I think my heart literally stopped! Please don't put yourself at risk!
  9. I'm only five days out but I'm already mourning being able to drink normally. More than anything else I want to chug a huge glass or icy cold Water. Instead I have to take super teensy sips of lukewarm water with 1/2 tsp of crystal lite. I can't live like this forever!! I feel like I need to brush the sweetness out of my mouth to protect my teeth hourly! Will I ever be able to drink normally again??

    Favorite Blender?

Blender bottle for shakes (got them from vitacost.com for $1.93 for 2) and a mini food processor that I got for $4.97 from Walmart years ago.
  11. Holy smokes- you've had bariatric surgery before I went to my first prom! That must be really overwhelming for you.
  12. Omg I'm having so much fun weighing myself! I'll be 1 week tomorrow too and this morning I was down by 14.5lbs in 6 days!!

    Sex?!?!?!?! Omg Someone Help Me?!

6 days out and BOYOHBOY!! Only problem is that the pain meds have stolen my 'o's. I've got 'H' by the bucket though!

    Acid/ Heartburn

I think if you are feeling really good without it you should totally not worry!
  15. I'm having the same problem!! I'm so freaked out about a leak I am babying the hell out of my tummy today.

    Acid/ Heartburn

I use a Prilosec capsule and just pop it open, sprinkle the contents onto my tongue, take a swig of water, and done!
  17. My sleeve is seriously mad at me today. It's so scary, even though I know this is all part of the process.
  18. My sleeve was mostly cosmetic. Sure, I wanted to avoid future health problems- but I had NO comorbidities. Whatsoever. I'm 27 and want to feel sexy like a 27 year old!!! So I got surgery
  19. Yes, this!! I've had a few that have literally stopped me in my tracks and made me think 'leak!'

When Did You Stop/start Buying Clothing?

I stopped buying clothing for myself literally years ago. Anything I bought was to replace something I desperately needed. But once I decided on surgery I filled 3 boxes full of dream clothes from the SalVal and clearance racks!

    2/6 Sleevers Check In

So far I've had blended Soup, cream of chicken, cream of wheat Cereal, fauxsagna (ricotta cheese sprinkled with garlic with a spoon of spaghetti sauce on top) and half an ounce of 50x chewed scrambled eggs. I can barely take a few bites of any one thing, but the cream of wheat went down SOOOO well!
