Waiting In The Program To Call Me .need Feedback
Ms skinniness replied to Jimbo_D's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It takes time for them to call back.... It took me about 2 weeks after the referral process. I am an OC Kaiser member. We were referred out to Dr LePorte's bariatric surgery facility. -
Can you eat lighter foods or switch your protein drinks? That might help. The diet is to shrink the liver to prevent any damage during the sleeve procedure. I'd talk to your nut to see what she recommends.

Oh darn, I was looking forward to some good stuff..... LOL

Questions To Ask My Surgeon
Ms skinniness replied to irish1988's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ask them how they want you to eat. Sometimes there are different stages. Ask about what size bougie they use for measurement of the stomach. Talk about your anxiety with the surgeon. You got this! Let us know how it goes..... -
We are all very excited for you.....and envious as well. Wow, 171 lbs in 7 months......700 calories right now doesn't seem like quite enough for you since you also work out. Keep trying to get some of those protein in.

Ms skinniness replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Sleeveshelly. When was your surgery and how much have you lost? I like that you were able to have cottage cheese while he was having prime rib..... I was in the early phases and was only able to have liquids and I went to a restaurant with my family and was so looking forward to a vegetable beef soup from this restaurant. Got there and they didn't make it for that day. I ended up having just au jus. I was so disappointed and had to watch my family eat their meals...... -
I Really Hate It When The Media Calls Some Celebrities "fat"!
Ms skinniness replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Rants & Raves
I was very appalled when I went into Lane Bryant and all the pictures of women were of normal size women. I asked the cashier why they would use regular size models and that this was misleading. Of course she didn't have anything to say. I really didn't expect an answer either. -

I am getting spasms in my calves and someone recommended drinking gatorade or powerade for the electrolytes. Today I'm going to start drinking gatorade to help alleviate them. -

Stall Or Am I Done?
Ms skinniness replied to SpaceyCasey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are only done if you want to be done. this is where it takes a while to lose the remaining lbs. You have done great. When I got to my 6 month period, I was closer to goal and my loss slowed down to a snails pace. Now I'm really close to goal by a few lbs and I am still losing some here and there. I just stay focused on what I need to do. Eat healthy and exercise sure helps a lot. You can do this and you will, just stay focused and try not to give up. -
Feel Like I'm A Failure
Ms skinniness replied to mufasas-mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So here's a reality check......You "only lost 15lbs." Your clothes are falling off...... What is the truth here? I believe it's time for you to throw your scale away, or hide it. You are obsessing over a stupid scale and the numbers on it. You have lost so much weight that your clothes are falling off! That to me is success......An NSV as we call it...... I'd rather have my clothes fall off than worry about the numbers. You are doing great....... The #'s on the scale will go down and you are going to be so pleased with yourself. Yes, you are depressed and it would be highly beneficial to see your doctor and perhaps he can prescribe something to help you with the depression. Not a big deal..... Hang in there and rant away when ever you need to. We are here to help you. -
Why Do My Knees Hurt?
Ms skinniness replied to IsaacsGram's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It might be a good idea to call your doctor. This doesn't sound right to me. It wouldn't hurt. At 3 weeks out, I had no abdominal pain except in my left incision site periodically. -
