Weight Gain Since Starting Purée Meals...what Am I Doing Wrong?
Ms skinniness replied to shamrockjulie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Crystalite: 15 lbs is quite a significant gain, especially after being sleeved. Have you called your surgeon's office? Please call them and let us know what's going on. That's not right. I could see maybe 5 lbs, but not 15. -

Anyone Else Going Through This?
Ms skinniness replied to Huntingnurse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Before my surgery I had the same struggle. I went about it a little differently though, I allowed myself to have what I wanted, but I only ate 1/2 of it. If in a restaurant, I only ate about 1/4th of the dish. Then I just started eating off the side menu, ex...1egg and fruit with 1 slice of toast. It helped with loosing weight. -
Sweet! Keep it up! CONGRATS!

You look so sexy! Look at those curves! So beautiful! CONGRATS! -
People that ask to see your license do not even look at the pics. They are looking for name and address to match. So disillusioning. I would dread going to the DMV to get a new license. Such a hassle. You look awesome and you know. So keep it up.

The way I see it is, you are so lucky to be alive right now.....It's very difficult to make good food choices when you can't cook or keep perishables in the refrigerator. Eating out isn't so bad if you can be picky and choosey. I take pizza and eat the topping off of it and discard the majority of the dough. If you can get cheese at a store, then that's also a good choice. You have done so far and the electric should come back on really soon. Then you get back to the healthy eating. Hang in there and God be with you all.....

One Week Post Op And Depressed.
Ms skinniness replied to hmscott09's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am so sad that your having such a rough time. The only suggestion I would have to help get the medicine down is to try putting it in some pudding or yogurt if possible. It might not taste so bad. Keep sipping water as much as possible to stay hydrated. -
Isn't it amazing how good it feels so soon out! Congrats! Now pull up those pants.....LOL

How Do You Sip?
Ms skinniness replied to fyre_storm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I make sure I drink 1 medicine cup full every 15 minutes. Then I just switched to taking a sip all the time. -
You have made a good choice to come here for support. Congrats on being 2 years post op..... How can we help you? I'm 1 year post op and finding that I can go off track really easy. I can eat more now and that scares me. I find myself grazing a lot and am working on changing that. I am just going to eat 3 meals a day, no snacking 1 hour before meals, also fix my own meals. What really helps me here is that I have some cute dessert plates and bowls that hold very small amounts. That helps me not take too much and then I feel content. I find that I'm always thinking about food and what I'm doing is asking myself, "Am I Hungry?" and if my answer is no, I work on not eating it. I really don't need it anyways. So How can we help you?

Who Will I Be Without My Fat Shield?
Ms skinniness replied to Cadilex's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I totally recommend seeing a therapist more than once. It takes a couple of sessions to feel safe enough to share those fears and the fears that underneath those fears. This is an amazing journey and will help you become a healthier, beautiful, loving, caring, person that you are......This is the beginning of a new journey, the journey to you.......your family will benefit by seeing you become healthier and happy and will take better care of themselves. Your grandchildren need to know who you are...and yes, I heard you, your not quite sure who you are, especially without your fat suit on......Actually, you are you, and you are always going to be you. You will just evolve and become a little more confident. You will struggle in the beginning, but will transform......you are beautiful. This surgery is for your health, it's not a vanity issue, but you will gain the added benefits of a healthy you.....Hang in there and keep going forward......Please see a therapist along with your new journey to the new you....... -

4 Month Anniversary: Embarassed About Weight Loss
Ms skinniness replied to ShannonK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Out of curiosity, do they measure your height with your shoes on? If so, get a pair of shoes with a little higher sole to make up for that inch....Just a thought. I know that i had always had a height of 5'5.5" and they told me that I was 5'7". I was so confused by this. I put my BMI to low when I went for my referral for my surgeon. Then they remeasured me and I made sure i stood straight and relaxed my body. It worked, I went down to 5'6" which was more reasonable. Remeasure your height and shrink down a little bit if you must.
