Hi Saddie I am also one that hates soups. But ofter the surgery, I struggle with dehydration. So I learned to love soup now. I do not like bland food so I would spice up the soup which really helped a lot. It also helped me with my dehydration too.

Susan, you look absolutely beautiful and skinny! Wow, your bike is gigantic compared to you! Love it......

June13sleever how far are you post op. I know that i'm 13 months out and I can eat more. I still try to keep my portions small but sometimes get hungry about 2 hours later. I'm trying to drink teas and more water to balance it. I eat more when I'm home and bored. I am really going to focus on preparing my foods instead of eating out. I am also going to weigh my foods also. Now I'm getting back in the game to loose about 5 lbs so I will be at 140 lbs. I have started eating candy and it's time to quit that......

Apprehensive . . . Sorry, Long And Rambling
Ms skinniness replied to Cholula's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We all struggle with this too. Then we rem  ember that we couldn't keep it off. I know that when I was eating less, I was always hungry. I knew that if I didn't have this surgery, I couldn't sustain my portion sizes for very long. I also realized that I didn't really need to eat that much food anyways. I know that this is just a tool and my work is fighting my head hunger on a daily basis. Those habits do sneak back in very quickly. So i believe this is the right choice for us. I am so thankful for my sleeve and would do it again in a heart beat........... -

Ms skinniness replied to Catracks's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
CONGRATS on your success! Wow, 150 lbs......fantastic.....I am currently doing a semi fast before Thanksgiving and after. I realize that I really need to keep sugars out of my diet because I am diabetic even though my blood sugars are under control....I've had a bad weekend with too much sugary treats, just couldn't say no to myself, but today, I'm back on track......Yayyyyy for me.... I love the ideal of after the 1st fasting also. That i will do....... -
What Am I Doing Wrong? Am Depressed!
Ms skinniness replied to SweetSaso's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is not easy. It does take a lot of preparing both mentally and physically. Every one here has given you great feedback and now it's time to research everything you can find. Eat protein, protein, protein, and drink a lot of water to keep hydrated. Eat healthy.... -
I wouldn't be forcing in too much protein right now.....Take it slowly. Look at the label of your ensure and take notice of the sugar content in it. That is what's giving you the shits.... Too much sugar. I love the Premier Chocolate Shakes and I buy them at Costco. They have minimum sugar. Also, if it's on your diet plan, eat some yogurt or sf jello or pudding. Those really help. Keep the sugar down to a minimum. Hope you feel better......

Skinny Women Are Evil
Ms skinniness replied to grayeybeauty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Grayeybeauty, I'm happy you ranted, that person was totally inconsiderate of other people's struggles. I see it as a moment of letting off a little steam, and that's not all. Nothing wrong with that....In fact, most people are not intentionally going out of their way to hurt other people, they do not sensor there mouth.....It hurts other people......Now it's time to lead those insensitive people and when they step over the line, let them know.......When I have a friend that is insensitive, which she is 90% of the time, I will say something like, "Hey, what do you mean by that?" She'll answer and then i tell her how I heard it and she usually gets the message. It's not easy, but life isn't easy either. The most important aspect here is that I feel better about myself. And that is success!! -

Coming Full Circle.. Almost Two Years Out...
Ms skinniness replied to Gina A.'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I love what everyone has said about getting back on track. you can do it if you truly want too. No more excuses. Just do it! The more you do it, the better you will feel about yourself, and the more likely you will continue to do it. Don't get on the scale everyday, maybe 1 time a week is good..... LilMissDiva also posted "The Basic Bootcamp" in which I just posted on another topic but I still have it here so I will re paste it.....Give it a shot and let us know how your doing. And remember, it's time to clean the house of all the non nutritious foods like are junk! Today, no later, no excuses, just do it........ The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein drinks. Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc. -
Vsg Causes Accelerated Aging?
Ms skinniness replied to Marquel's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't believe most things I read on the internet. Now that I've lost a lot of weight, I look younger and I feel younger and I get feed back from others about how young I look. So I choose to not believe it unless there is a lot of empirical evidence to support it.... -

Rapidly Gaining Weight 2 Years Post Op Sleeve Surgery
Ms skinniness replied to nikki042's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
This is pretty scarey but you can stop the weight gain right now and go back to eating Protein first and then some veggies. I do highly recommend that you get back to therapy and work on those negative thoughts in your head to curve this cycle. You are not at a loss, this is just a learning lesson that we all must learn..... Here is a copy of LilMissDiva's "The Basic Bootcamp Diet" that will get the sugar out of your system, to abort the sweet cravings.......BTW i don't believe 150 lbs is where your going to stop, so let your body do the work it is suppose too. Eat under 1200 calories a day. You can do this.. Here is the plan: The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Bowel Movement Question
Ms skinniness replied to mdonaldf's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is not the time to worry about having a BM. I didn't have one for at least over a week. Then I took Miralax for 2 days. Then I took 500mg of colace after that and no problems. Right now you aren't eating enough to have to have a BM. -

Eat Like Me, Lose Like Me
Ms skinniness replied to gmanbat's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I truly believe that all your daughter needs to do is cut her portion sizes down to 1/2 and eat healthy. Meaning proteins first, veggies, and low fat....... Cut way back on the carbs and use My Fitness Pal to watch her calories. I do know that our hunger is in our head and that we turn to food to comfort ourselves. So we have to retrain our mines to using different coping skills during times of stress and even boredom. This is what we are doing right now. The thing that gives us the greater advantage is the time right after surgery when our stomachs are traumatized and swollen and we can't get anything in. But later we are able to eat children's size meals. We will even gain the weight back if we revert back to unhealthy eating patterns. We all have to eat healthy to stay healthy and maintain our weight loss. We all struggle with head hunger........ -
6 Weeks 2 Days Postop.
Ms skinniness replied to cdscott89's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wouldn't be stressing on this right now....You are really early out and the weight will come off. Your body is adjusting in inches right now and is getting ready to let go of more weight. It's a process. Just be sure to get in your protein via shakes and drink a lot of water........You have lost 52 lbs both pre and post op.....That is nothing to sneeze about.... Keep it up.... -
Maybe he liked what he saw! LOL It most likely helped him accomplish his work out with out thinking about it..... LOL

Ms skinniness replied to wendy88's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
