I looked at your profile page and you have started out at a higher BMI. So it might take a little longer to be absolutely apparent....But it will happen. All of a sudden you are going to be standing there and if you don't have a belt on, your pants will just fall off.....You will be losing inches really soon and none of your cloths are going to fit. This is called and NSV! Yet, you better get that pocket book ready! It will happen...... CONGRATS on losing 89 lb that is nothing to sneeze at! Heck, that's a lot more than I have lost totally.....So proud of you..... -

It is scary to read this. Our sleeve is just a tool and if we choose to go back to our old eating habits, we will gain our weight back. So I am really going to work hard at not slipping back into old patterns.... -
That's really good! Congrats!

Each day will get better. Are you walking? If not, this is the time to walk. Oh and use your morphine as much as possible that helps. Also try sleeping in an upright position. -
CONGRATS! You've got this! Good job.......

At 4 weeks out there was some discomfort. I was on a puree at 3 weeks. This is quite a transitional period where your stomach is adjusting somewhat. Take it slow and if it's really painful, please call your surgeon because it's not normal....

So happy that I have lost so much of my weight..... This is truly the right decision for me to help lose my excess lbs....... Thank you for sharing this pic! It truly helps put things in perspective..... -
Yesterday morning I had an endoscopy done. It wasn't as bad as I thought, the worst part is having to go without water for an extended amount of time and my fear of becoming dehydrated. I was so excited to have an IV for the extra saline . Well i didn't get much of the IV, right after the procedure, the IV came out of my arm . Then my blood pressure was low so they put a new one in my arm. After 1/2 a small bag, blood pressure went up and I was released to come home. I am so amazed at how excited I was to get an IV. Water intake has been a real struggle here and I drink 64oz a day and the next morning I'm headachey and feeling dehydrated. This is pretty much every AM. The pictures of my stomach are so cool. Looks like a sausage to boot. I have one spot that's thick and has muscosa. I am amazed at the size of my stomach due to my sleeve! It's the best..... Just wish I could get more water in so I don't get dehyrated.

Can you give us some more information like what your eating, portion sizes, and weigh today and how much more you want to lose. I really miss seeing your ticker here. -
This is way too many carbs......Where's the protein? When you eat protein, you get fuller faster and plus, you drop more weight. Other wise your body is starving for protein and using your muscle mass to compensate.........

Wow, you are so lucky to have such a wonderful gift basket! CONGRATS!

Your opinion please
Ms skinniness replied to ebonisekim's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I believe you need to be as proactive as possible and tell the surgeon you want the hernia removed at the same time of the surgery. If he senses that you will seek another surgeon that will do the repair at the same time, he will most likely change his mind. My surgeon's practice has decreased by 30% in her own words. Just info... -
two years since my surgery and need advice
Ms skinniness replied to janinemaire's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know how frustrating it is to be stuck and having other issues happening and the emotional eating hitting us at the same time. When I get off track, I go back to the basics. Protein, protein, protein and some veggies. I realized that I am making my eating habits of working on the protein. LilMissDiva's basic boot camp really helps getting back on track and it's really basic and easy to follow. Here it is: The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein drinks. Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc.
