It was really hard for you to take credit for all the hard work you've down. I'm happy that you recognize it and have decided to make a change up and just say thank you. If they ask further, just tell them that you've reduced your portions and am exercising.....Because that's he truth. At least that's what I've decided to do for myself, especially in the beginning. In fact we were in the mountains and a lady was telling my DH and myself a great place to eat and that they give you a lot of food. I caught myself telling her that I have decided to eat smaller portions and smiled. Boy was I surprised. Now that's an awesome NSV for me......

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is totally amazing. In the afternoon I found that my ring is about to fall off, the next day, I had gained 2 lbs. Now today I went down to 146.1 lbs.... Didn't change much of my eating patterns, in fact, I ate a little bit more. _ Escape_Pod I truly believe that this is water weight. I know that I did some weight baring exercises 2 days ago and my muscles were torn down and repairing the tissue which cause inflammation. So I guess when exercising, it would be expected to add some extra weight. But I'm still going to work this. Just wish I could get to a low point of 143 lbs and I will be happy. Just found out that my bone structure is medium and so my goal weight is between 130 and 144 lbs. So I'm shooting for 135 lbs. I think I want to get on the scale each morning for at least 2 weeks, write down my weight each morning to see what by body is doing. Then I'm going to average that out and see where I stand. -

I really don't think your done.. At around 6 months it got more difficult to lose weight. But I did lose. It's very normal to bounce up and down a couple of pounds. So don't give up hope, just eat healthy and exercise and you will see more come off, it just takes longer. -

Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I went shopping today and all I could think of buying was protein, protein, and protein. I really need to get some veggies in. However, I do love bread so I avoid eating it at all cost. Every now and then is ok. So lets do this healthy eating stuff for our healthy bodies. -
Perhaps it just about getting into a routine to do it. Start off with lighter weights and work your way up. Build it into a habit and you will succeed. I have gone back to the gym and am now weight training myself, I will see how I do without a PT. I'm starting out with lighter weights and working up. I'm sore today and will be mixing in some cardio classes too boot...... You can do this. Once you do it continuously, you will start to build the habit of a life time.

Well I'm at my high bounce of 147.1. So it's all up hill from here on. Coops I completely understand. You are even in the middle of changing your eating habits too which is very stressful to boot.... Take it one day at a time and just know that I am here for you..... -

Dark urine post-op
Ms skinniness replied to JeffA70's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd go see my primary and ask for a urine test to determine if I had an infection of some kind. I often go to my PCP for tests etc. Please keep us posted..... -

Hair loss/thinning
Ms skinniness replied to chocolate_macchiato's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost about 33% of my hair. I started taking biotin and silica and it helped my hair grow back faster, but didn't stop it from falling out. Now my hair grows so fast, it's hard to keep it colored....and straightened. LOL I stopped losing my hair around month 6 to 7. -

Ms skinniness replied to SoCalDixieGal's topic in Food and Nutrition
Fallenangel, what appetizers do you order? I would like to order appetizers but the restaurants I go to the appetizers are basically sugar, fat on fat on fat and a lot of salt, so I avoid those. Really would like some help with ordering healthier appetizers. Thanks -

Sleevers more than 1 year out-- how is it going?
Ms skinniness replied to FishingNurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 15 months post op and I can certainly eat a lot more than before. I am going to start exercising today also. Going to the park in a while. I know that I have slipped away from the site more often now. I know that I can graze a lot and I can really eat those darn fudge that's loaded with sugar. I know this is a life long change for me so I've been investing some time with NUT and Dietician's and attending a class on diabetes. I do feel like the odd man out at these classes. Everyone in there are struggling with their weight and blood sugar taking lots of medications to treat their diabetes. Introduced myself and the RN leading the class made a big deal of my progress and stuff and not one of the 20 people asked any questions. I have 3 more of those classes, next week it's the dietician. I love all the info I get. Hopefully this will help me get control of my head hunger. LOL You have done very well. I've always followed your post.... So keep it up, you motivate me..... -
Your Dad is not very informed as most people are about how our body image affects us as well as the medical complications that come from obesity. He is most likely scared that something horrible will happen and he will lose you. Having said that, this procedure is one of the safest between the RnY and the Lapband. So no worries, do what you have set out to do and trust that everything will be ok.

I had difficulties for the first year. Now I'm more in tune. I don't head over to the big girl's sizes anymore and have to remind myself that they don't fit. I'm in between a small and a medium, but afraid to get a small, I don't like tight fitting clothing for this sexy body. LOL -

Mandatory nutritionist visit - REALLY?
Ms skinniness replied to linkybo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The absolute worst they can do to you is come and take back the sleeve.....LOL I made and appointment with a nutritionist, one on one with Kaiser and it was totally fun. Couldn't believe how fun it was.... Now groups can be a different story, especially with individuals that are annoying.... I probably wouldn't go if it was me, but that's me. I'm not a nutritionist so I am not recommending, just saying. However, there might be some good stuff to come out later. Can you speak to the nutritionist before group starts and ask her if she can recommend to the annoying person to see her after group if she has any questions? Just a thought. -

I need to go back to the basics. Can anyone tell me the post diet.
Ms skinniness replied to Lucabelle1313's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
By using LilMissDiva's Basic Bootcamp, it helped with the sugar cravings and within 2 days I would drop a lb. It may have been water retention, but I'll take it. Have a great day!
