Hi John I'am wondering why you would let some individual's that sent you PM's run you off VST? They have poor boundaries and imupulses and don't really know what they're saying is attacking you. Let them know by PMing them back. You have the right to you opinion and they have a right to their opinion. They do not have the right to force it on you...The reason a support group works in a healthy manner is when you have people that are supporters and then you have people that will call you out on your sh**.....That's the balance of a support group. And when I read the posts where people are joking around and having fun, I take it as that. They are just funning... Now for me.....I don't get too much from my fb because I can't get any feed back.....or let me put it this way, I don't know how to change my notifications on fb. But I do get feedback from people on vst..It's not always what I want to hear, but it is honest feedback from the poster's point of view. I either accept it, or reject it. No I'm not excusing the people that get in an emotional tirade and get impulsive and respond with inappropriate comments. But I do know that that's their problem and I choose to not respond......When the posts go on and on with stupid stuff, I go back and click on the unfollow button which does the trick. This is an emotional journey that each of us is on. Don't let this derail your journey, I love reading your post...... So please keep posting. And remember if someone gets upset with other posts, it's his/her responsibility to handle their anger in an appropriate way.......

How is this possible?
Ms skinniness replied to JessicaAnn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ur uncle only gained back 15lbs with all that he's eating that's pretty good. He must be eating small portions. I'm sure he would Beiter than happy to answer ur questions. U just have to ask him though. Just talk to him in private so that he can be honest with his replies. Perhaps he can get refocused too. He could also benefit from reading posts on VST too. -
Wow u have made a terrific transformation. U have lost a whopping 96lbs! Love it!

I tried to take children's liquid tylenol for a headache and it was the most foul tasting stuff I had ever tasted......HA was better than that. I take the gell tylenol too. I will even take the generic acetaminophen too.. Alleve is an NSAID so I won't try bc of what it might do to my stomach...... Hope your HA goes away... I get HA's from not enough carbs or a little dehydrated too.

My friend keeps calling me a "Cheater"
Ms skinniness replied to lilstyler's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OMG! this is totally my SIL and BIL......I kicked them to the curb really fast when I realized it wasn't me and that I had done everything I could to have a relationship with the, did you notice I didn't put loving in there? My friend keeps calling me a "Cheater"
Ms skinniness replied to lilstyler's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
With all that said, she can ot feel good about herself unless she's putting everyone down at their expense. This truly is not a friend, she's very toxic and it will only get worst as you get thinner.....Take care of you and let this toxic person go.........she will only sabotage your efforts and could possibly hurt your kids by her toxic behaviors....... Keep rockin forward and can't wait for you to join us on the big loser's bench........! -
WOW! 14 pounds down!
Ms skinniness replied to Dobeigh's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think you are really dehydrated! Up you fluid intake and if possible drink some G2 Gatorade. Might even go to urgent care today for an IV. If you get too dehydrated, your blood gets thicker, could cause kidney damage or a stroke. So take care of yourself and go get some IV fluid. I love that stuff... -
6 months out and getting worried about weight gain!
Ms skinniness replied to sramos89's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
This is a life time life style. I know that it is possible to gain my weight and my weight does fluctuate with water retention. I got to my low of 143lbs and then had to increase my salt intake to retain water due to having really low blood pressure. So I have put on about 3 lbs in water retention. I do weigh myself daily and I can eat more than i could early on. I do eat mostly proteins and keep the carbs really low.....I'm working on adding more veggies to my diet also. To be honest, at this point, I really don't want to eat unhealthy anymore, I want organic foods and try to order wild salmon when ever possible.......if no organic, or I can't get myself to pay a higher price for organics, then I pick the fruits with a thick skin. Sorry for being off topic, but the carbs I eat come from fruits and veggies that are natural, after all, we are primal.... -

My friend keeps calling me a "Cheater"
Ms skinniness replied to lilstyler's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I believe that it's time to take a break from her. I would tell her that it hurts me when you call me a cheater and it makes me not want to be around you. You are not a cheater, this is a tool and you will definately have to work hard on this too. It doesn't really matter whether she's jealous, fearful, or angry, if she can't be supportive of your decision, then it's time to take a time out with your friendship. A friend will support you no matter what.... so set a boundary with her and tell her to stop be a b**** about this, and for pete's sake, stop role modeling this behavior for her daughter..... You don't need this..... -
Feel guilty and worried.
Ms skinniness replied to KatieOkieDokie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

So my husband and I had "the talk" and...

Having a supportive partner is extremely important and rewarding..... CONGRAT'S! -
back to topic now, to me a veteran is someone who has lost his/her excess weight and has been a member on vst for a period of time. I definately don't want to get advice from a newbie when I have lost my weight and am in maintenance. A 100 post does not qualify anyone to be a veteran. It's the person's experience with the sleeve and where they are. I do get frustrated if I'm on the veteran's post here and a newbie wants info. I'm more interested in information from a veteran because they have the experience of it. I don't care if newbies read the posts here, but please don't ask questions that should be asked under question post op. So what is a veteran and who makes the definitions of a veteran?
