Change of clothes?
Ms skinniness replied to Fifty&Hippy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would really watch the sugar content in everything you eat. A lot of the protein powders (according to NUT) have too much sugar in them. Sugar can have this dumping affect on you..... I typically drink a Premier Chocolate Protein Shake that I purchased from Costco or Sam's Club and they have very little sugars in it. I read labels and won't buy any products that list sugar different places.... If I'm going to eat sugar, then the little I get, will be worth it...... Anyways, sugar can cause you to have diarrhea...... Hope this helps...... -
meltdown at the grocery store!
Ms skinniness replied to michelle4873's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As I look back to my beginnings, I would get so angry and repulsed by my families eating habits that I couldn't stand to be in the same room with them. I would think, "OMG, how can you eat all that???" I am 19 months post op and I still have moments like this. I do know that it gets easier and the emotional moments get further and further apart. When having these moments, I often left the room and busied myself with something else to take my mind off of what was going on..... This is such a major change for all of us, and let's face, how many of us really like change? I didn't in the beginning, but yesturday I realized that I have come to love change. Yes, we all need change or our world tends to get stagnate. So here's to the best change in my whole life style...Cheers to healthy eating habits..... -

CONGRATS! I can't wait for you to join us on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! Yayyyyy!! -
You are doing so good......4 days out and not knowing what the future holds for you is scary.... Take it one day at a time and it does get better each day. try to get your water in and if that's really a struggle, mix some low calorie g2 gatorade with it and it will be easier to get your fluids in......It's ok to be scared and feel like a BIG BABY.....we've all felt that way. I had thoughts after my surgery of Did I do the right thing? OMG, what have I done.....At tat moment I decided to move on and take it one day at a time..... You've got this and it does get better.....especially when your cloths start falling off because they are way toooooo biggggg for ya! Welcome to your journey to skinniness!

I am a total diet coke or diet pepsi drinker. I have always quit drinking it and have gone back to it, even after hating the way it tasted when I've tried it again. I do know that I don't want to put all those nasty chemicals in my body anymore. I also know that if I take a drink of that stuff, I will continue to drink it instead of water. So I choose not to let myself drink it again. i don't need it and there is no nutritional value to it....Plain and simple for me, I can't go back and have a drink, it is addicting to me.....That's an old habit I left behind, so I simply tell myself I don't do that anymore......I don't need to go back to the past and I really enjoy eating at restaurants and not having to spend the $3.00 for a soda. I order water with lemon and it's just perfect for me.....

Please give some answers or encouragement
Ms skinniness replied to moviemom05's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will have many stalls during this process. When your in a stall, you will notice that you are adjusting in inches. This is nothing to worry about as long as you are eating mostly proteins and getting your fluids in.....eat healthy and it will come off in a heart beat.... -
Laura your such a nature child! LOl So happy your enjoying your vacation....... Thank Goodness you didn't eat a smore' last night....LOL

Ms skinniness replied to NJGurl19's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Iggy so sorry for your loss of a dear beloved friend.....it makes me thankful that I decided on the sleeve instead of the RnY. I am also encouraged to eat healthy and continue on my path and to be thankful for everything I have in my life right now. I am so blessed to have a support group like VST. -

Ms skinniness replied to Huntingnurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Need help/advice from the Veteran Sleevers
Ms skinniness replied to rxkid2384's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I believe that you need to kick your water intake up and increase your protein as much as possible..... If your dehydrated, you will experience fatigue, dizziness, nauseausness, etc.... Make you you continue to eat your vitamins especially. But most importantly, drink more fluids. Protein shakes also count towards fluids at this time.....You got this now, so drink up! CONGRATS! -
Emotional eating
Ms skinniness replied to Melissa1234's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How is your mood swings being handled? i totally agree with getting out of the house and exercise with your little one. Don't keep any junk food in the house either. Your little one doesn't need it. Work on eating 3 meals a day with perhaps a small snack or two between meals. Have this become habit...... -
Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is so frustrating.....How can we eat less and still be healthy. I'm eating about 1200 to 1500 calories a day and haven't lost anything for a while...... Now I'm going to have to get in a routine of exercising.....I'm so bad at this....Oh well, I'm right with you guys on here......Cheers to research..... -
Leeann71 you can have past addictions creep up on you when least expecting it. now that your food addiction is under control, it's time to work on alleviating that part of your addictive behaviors. Make sure you find something more healthy to replace the food addiction with. Some of the people on here have started exercising and they love it.....I wish I could get there and so I am working on it. We can all overcome our food addictions, it will take trial and error and a lot of time. but we will beat this!

When I was in the hospital, the only thing I took was me.....I was in such denial that i was going to be sleeved, I just took my body...I didn't really miss anything due to sleeping most of the time. I had to get a toothbrush from the hospital and borrow my daughter's hair brush........ -

Foods that keep you full?
Ms skinniness replied to Crossfit4Me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am so tired of being limited to the same foods so I am looking for other proteins to eat..... Carbs also make me crash and feel really horrible...... I also will eat a quest protein bar too. For breakfast, it's typically a Premier Protein shake or an egg. So boring now.... But so worth it.
