3 years out in July and a NSV to top them all...
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
This is fantastic! I love this transformation! Perhaps the muffin top will go away when you are completely healed. And besides, I have a pretty big muffin top too when I wear my jeans. I do hate feeling the loose skin on my sides, stomach, arms, neck and face, oh and not too mention my thighs. Now it's really beginning to bother me. Uggggggggggg......It's time to really look into getting something done for myself......Thanks for sharing this with me.... HUGS across the pond! -
My program wanted us to wait 10 minutes between each bite. I failed at this. But I use a small desert size plate and only use the center of it. I also put the fork down in between bite.

Hamburgers grilled is really dry and will irritate your stomach. I love meatballs with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. So delicious.

Weight Gain After Miscarriage
Ms skinniness replied to mariemadeline's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
It is so hard to experience this loss...... Your body is most likely repairing itself and has some inflammation going on. -

I work at staying away from processed foods, except my protein shakes and protein bars.... The less ingredients the better!

OMG! THis is the absolute truth for the majority of us here. I simply don't buy it except on rare occasions, I do buy greek yogurt though and put whipped cream on it.... So delicious with just a little bit of sugar. Love it. Thanks for sharing this John....

Negative Self Talk
Ms skinniness replied to 411angela's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've learned to catch my negative thoughts, check the thought, and if it's irrational, to change it. This is a CBT technique. -
You don't weigh enough for that....So sick of hearing this!

Help...very confused
Ms skinniness replied to patiscuba's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From my understanding the protein shakes help us keep our muscle and promote weight loss. This is confusing to me as well. I would talk with your NUT. -
Unsupportive Family Members
Ms skinniness replied to Amy O's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is so hard to draw a line with a mom, but this is part of being an adult and your mom will love you even more for it. I bet she is very proud of you and deep down is scared she will lose you. I love your determination and I know you will be very successful with your new sleeve and your mom will be there to support you after it's done too. Especially when she sees how happy and healthier than before..... CONGRATS! -
I had my GB removed a couple of months ago and it was so much easier than the sleeve procedure. I had no pain and went to Las Vegas 2 weeks later. So happy they removed. I also got some good follow up information from the bariatric doc at Kaiser. Now I don't have to worry about having a GB attack....

Successful weight loss using portion control ?
Ms skinniness replied to Kapu's topic in Food and Nutrition
I have eaten a high protein diet with veggies and maybe a bite or 2 of a carb. I am pretty much at goal (personal) and am maintaining. When I want to drop some weight, i do all protein. The carbs seem to make me retain weight so I don't eat them. -
Mirena has pregesteron in it.....

how to reset your metabolism with excersize and food?
Ms skinniness replied to leeann71's topic in Fitness & Exercise
It is so sad to lose a friend. It is ok to mourn the death of this friend. But I look at it like this. at least your friend is not in any pain anymore and what a gift it was to have gotten to know him. You had a bad day yesterday but today may be a better day. just get on track and eat something to nourish that beautiful fat burning body of yours right now. That's your gift to you an your family and friends...... -
We can't control what people think but we can choose to take a break from them.
