Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is stated so perfectly....I can see each one of us out in the open sea heading across the pond with so much confusion. What do we do now....I like that this is an open discussion and we can bounce thoughts each other......then tweak things to fit us. I remember when i was working with a PT and told me that I needed to up my Protein to a ridiculously high number and I was like, how am I going to do that? I can barely eat this and this.... ????? When I went to a diabetes class, nothing fit for me......I was totally abnormal....... felt different...... I also went to see a nutritionist and the same thing. She kept saying to eat more.......I was like what? How? so I have to modify it or me......This is so confusing and I have to make my own path. frustrating to say the least but I still love my eating. I did contemplate the TDEE stuff but do not want to risk putting on weight and then it not coming back off. Fear sucks.....thank you M2G for sharing..... -

Why are my readings not coming down?!?!?!
Ms skinniness replied to bascott73's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am very fortunate that my diabetes is under control right now. My husband is diabetic but refuses to have this procedure. So I have him take cinnamin and chromium piccalate. He also doesn't eat any breads, pastas, rice, or potatos and he is having to take less insulin now. So as a precaution, i am also taking cinnamon caps and chromium piccalate for my blood sugar problems even though I don't have any anymore. I take it because my A1C is in the 6 range and I want it in the 5 range. -

Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
We have some very wonderful people on this board that are celebrating their birthdays this day! My birthday is in February and I've started celebrating my birthday the whole month of February! Yep, that's my month... LOL SO FYE and Laura, the whole month of June is your special month and everyone else who's birthday is in June..... Very special month. I am so thankful to know you two as part of my VST family. -
On previous posting of mine, Laura your posting changed, it didn't put your quote in so I'm wondering what happened? All I got was a "Never mind." I really need to stop thinking about food. From the time I get up in the morning till I go to bed. I work on not going into the kitchen after 6:30pm so I don't eat, but I often get home from my office after 8:00 and then I raid the refrigerator.

What are thread issues? I too am finding myself thinking about food all the time..... I find myself eating protein bars a lot now. I reflect back to when I was a child and I really never thought about food, i was busy doing other things, when I got bored, I started eating while watching TV because I was bored. Now days. All I do is think about food......This is a struggle and it's not easy. The first 6 months being sleeved was easy, now it's hard..........Time to focus on getting busy and not having time to think about food.......Can that be done? Wow, this is one of the hardest things we will do..............

I am sad right now. The magic pop has corn in it. I am determined not to eat anything made with corn because the steer that are raised on grain are given corn to help fatten them up. So I work on eliminating all corn from my diet. Oh well, I hope you enjoy them, they sound tasty though. -

Should i change my surgery date?
Ms skinniness replied to Nicky VSG's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wouldn't change it if it was me. I'd just make sure that you get up a walk around every hour and flex your leg muscles to prevent embolisms. Take some protein shakes with you and enjoy.......You will do just fine.... I'm not a doctor so this is JMO. -
? For the 6+ post op patients
Ms skinniness replied to sassygirl055's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know that I get hungry every 3 hours so i will eat then.......I fear becoming a grazer and it's scarey for me.....When I do snack, i will eat nuts or a protein bar and then when I have dinner I'm usually full....I will also drink a protein shake in between also when I feel hungry. -

Having sugar really sucks for you. I can eat sugar with no effects, I just can't stop eating it and my body hangs on to excess weight..... So, very little sugar for this addict..... -
Gastric Sleeve vs Medical Weight Loss
Ms skinniness replied to StarryNightSky's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am totally addicted to carbs. Any little taste of sugar and I crave carbs.....The sleeve for me is just a tool, if I wanted too, I could eat slider foods, a lot of it. But I know that I will gain weight if i don't stick to my plan. So i mostly eat proteins, proteins, veggies and seldom do I eat carbs now..... That's my diet and I have to stick to it to maintain this beautiful body of mine. Yep, it's all about me, not the food anymore....... -
I am in competition for the avoidance and pro position here...... working hard to change that......LOL

Only if you want to experience some weight gain from fluid retention!

Good job Coops.....That is good to hear. What I have noticed is that if I drink tea, I do get somewhat hungry a bit. So I limit my ty tea to 1 large mug....Can't wait to hear your down to your low bounce and it stays off. -

This is so interesting. I just weighted myself and have lost a 1 lb since yesterday. I have given up the carbs and been eating protein shakes and protein bars and actually given up my chili peanuts pretty much. Looked on the ingredients and didn't like the vegetable oil they used. This body doesn't need any of that junk in it. Nothing but the best for this body. LOL Today is a good day. The only problem I see is that last night my legs did feel weak. Oh well, I love the results. I hope it sticks around and doesn't go back up. Today will work on hydrating myself. I really want to get that last 1.2 lbs off this bod..... LOL Keep it up everyone. -
Who has actually reached goal?
Ms skinniness replied to JessicaAnn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So, who made him GOD? You will get down to your goal if your willing to eat healthy and stay on track. It can be done. I am now about 1.2 lbs to my goal of 140 lbs. This is so doable. Now it's maintaining that will be a challenge. -
I highly recommend the sleeve. A lot of people are very successful in losing their weight and you can too. The sleeve has been reported as one of the safest. This is just my opinion. . I am not a doctor.
