Lookin Good! I love ur new body! -
As a preventative measure I don't think so. More education on nutritional values is needed at earlier ages. Fast food and restaurants need to cut the sugars, fats, and salts in food along with appropriate portion control. This would be more of an ideal world.

It will get approved, the sleeve is far more successful than the lap band IMO....It is hard not knowing when and to make plans. But it will happen...... -

We are all struggling with the same issues. I will look into this book. I know that when I do eat sugar, I get more and more cravings for it. I want to eat more these days and I'm not hungry. I know it's head hunger. Have you looked into the 5:2 diet? I finally did it and I lost 2lbs and kept it off for day 2 too. -
Congrats to a beautiful you!

This scares the pants off me........I just want to maintain where I'm at today.....I just did a fast day of 600 calories and my scale went down 2 lbs for today. I'll wait until tomorrow to see if it stays off....I'm going to start practicing being thankful for where I'm at today..... Thank you for sharing this... -
Today I have realized that I'm not even hungry and have eaten a lot less then before my fast day. I love this. Today may be my second fast day. Going to the Mountain for Thursday and Friday so I don't want to set myself up to fail. LOL Good job everyone, you've all given me inspiration. BTW when I eat fiber one brownies i am so gassy! can't go near them.....

Wowza Coops! you are looking really hot and sexy too! I love your smile....... I want a TT too....... -
Today I did a fast day. I had a protein shake for breakfast, quest protein bar for lunch, 2oz salmon and I got hungry and ate a quest bar. It was 604 calories. but at least I feel like I've accomplished something. Wednesday will be much better. My weight went up over the weekend so I will see where it is tomorrow. I do feel like I have more restriction.

A1c needs to be below 8.,,
Ms skinniness replied to karpouzian's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have Kaiser and they told me my A1C needed to be under 6.0. Well, my A1c was about 7 and they approved the surgery anyways. So don't give up hope. Try doing a high protein diet. A friend of mine had really high A1C and he had basically ate soup all month long and his A1C went down really quick. He would make vegetable soup. So please do what you can and work on not eating carbs if at all possible. -

He is scared of losing you. But after it's done, he will be fine. He will reap the benefits of a healthier wife and your little ones will have a healthier mom that can do more things with them. This is part of change and we are always going to have change. I had to stop talking to my husband about diet etc because it drove him crazy. This is life now and it's so much better for me.

I was very stubborn, i could not phantom eating pureed foods, it would make me gag. LOL I did primarily yogurts, sf pudding, sf jello, and cottage cheese.

wanted to share this recipe
Ms skinniness replied to newlife27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is an amazing smoothie and sounds delicious. The one concern I would have is the high sugar content it has. It's loaded with carbs and can sabotage weight loss in the early stages. I am a sugar addict and pretty much have to stay away from high sugary foods. JMO. -
10 days post-op--shouldn't I be dropping pounds everyday?
Ms skinniness replied to Paradise Mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is typical for everyone. You will lose the weight in due time. There is something called the 3 week stall and that's the time your body is most likely adjusting in inches and restoring glycogen in the body. Everyone has a different rate of losing his/her weight and most will meet the goal weight lost with time. This is the time to sit back and enjoy the ride. Start noticing times when your getting trigger to eat foods and what the underlying emotions are to are causing the triggers. This is a roller coast ride. Overall, you are doing great! Keep it up.... -
I do have to admit that I struggled to do the days of fasting. I had an emotional time last week where I have to make a decision that is not in the benefit of my client. So I turned to some emotional eating. I also went up to the mountain and have learned that our property is a MONEY PIT.......It's one thing after another. Uggggggggggg! But I got on the scale this am and I have gained 5 lbs. So today i have no excuses. i see the evidence where everyone is successful by doing fast days. So today, I am on a fast day. I will stick it out no matter what....I just finished my protein shake and it actually took me a long time to finish it. That's success. Today will be a pure protein day.........I will have a protein bar for lunch and a protein shake for dinner. I am going to my fitness pal right now and log it......It's done, in writing and cemented. No more excuses for me.......

Me & Ma - please offer suggestions
Ms skinniness replied to saira's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank goodness that she's in the hospital and they are treating her for her blood clots. My prayers are with you. -
I get bored and do give in and it drives me crazy. I work at staying out of the kitchen at night and don't keep any foods that are unhealthy if possible. I love quest protein bars and have worked on decreasing portion size. Instead of eating the whole bar, I eat 1/2. I live the ideal of getting out of the house and also practicing mindful eating habits. I am working on eating slower today. It's hard. We can only do our best.
