Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree, it's time to get back to basic, especially since I am feeling a little guilty for eating things I shouldn't have. It's the goal results I wanted. Yes, I have reached goal, no longer diabetic, blood work up looks fantastic but need to get my additional lbs off now. I would like to get down to 140 lbs, but I'm not sure that's realistic or not. I'm 5'6". I just bought size medium's from Victoria's Secret and am afraid to try them on because they might be too small. Bahhhh this is a constant battle. Thanks, I love this. Happy New Year! -
Freaking Out About Leaks & Complications
Ms skinniness replied to carbgrl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have had no complications and I am 11.5 weeks post op. If there is a complication, you deal with it, But I believe that if I worry about something, I'm not focusing on my healing process. I want to take care of me,so I follow my surgeons directions in eating and when I make a bad choice, I get back on track and strive to make better choice. I hope you can let go of your fears because your thoughts do lie to you. We can stress on the most simplest stuff and blow it way out of proportion. This is called catastrophing. Take care and remember your journey is going to be different than any one else's journey. You are unique... ; -

Really Scared, Don't Have That Same "non Hungry" Feeling...
Ms skinniness replied to USMCwifeandTEACHER's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Having the same struggle. I like what sasicas said. Yest the holidays are coming to an end and I won't have all the bad foods around. I am going to sit down with my family and ask them to not bring home the junk food. I have been munching on the junk since Xmas. Yesterday was a horrible day. I found myself automatically reaching for some junk. Today my weight went up. Also decided I need to stop the gatorade due to high sodium and use crystal light as recommended by a member on our forum. Also will kick up my exercise starting today. -
How Do You Handle Eating Out And Rude Waiters?
Ms skinniness replied to Becca's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I eat out, I simply tell the waiter that I'm happy and every is really good. They tend to leave me alone then. At first I did tell them that I had weight loss surgery but then decided it was none of their business and just politely say thank you. I always get a water with lemon for a little sip to cleanse my palate. Love it... -

Thanks Alex And Team!
Ms skinniness replied to Happy Camper's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Yes, I too deeply appreciate all the support I have received from others on this site. My surgeon's office didn't tell me to take a PPI even though I was telling them I was really hungry since the day of the surgery. Thank you everyone out there for being you. Love ya all! -
I am totally in a stall right now. I am hungry and have been frustrated with being stuck. I have lost inches though. My pants that are non stretch got bigger on me yesterday. Today I will begin getting some exercise and get some prilosec from the pharmacy. My hungry monster has awakened again. I know I have alot of head hunger going on and found myself eating a lot and really need to refocus myself. Yesterday was a horrible day........

Clueless About Diet After Gastric Sleeve Surgery!
Ms skinniness replied to livelaughloveme's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I was on a liquid diet for 3 weeks and slowly added yogurt, pudding, and any other soft moist food to the menu. I eat really slowly so that I can recognize when I'm getting full. I really liked salmon flaked, chicken salad, and tuna salad. I ate really soft foods for my mushie stage. I couldn't stand the thought of pureed food. It worked for me. -

10 Days Post Gastric Sleeve Surgery And Feeling Weak
Ms skinniness replied to MissE's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never received any calls from my surgeon's office either. I wasn't able to get a follow up appointment until 4 weeks out because they were booked. My surgery was on Oct 4 and I have only seen PA's. Noting new, I know I'm fine. I'd rather go see my PCP if I need something. I was upset with them because I was telling them that I'm hungry all the time and they didn't suggest any PPI's. I learned that from talking to others. Go figure..... -

I Think I May Have Stretched My Gastric Sleeve...
Ms skinniness replied to AprilMay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Here is Misslildiva bootcamp: The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein drinks. Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc. Lots will do the 5 day pouch test. http://www.5daypouchtest.com/ Great! To each their own. I personally do not do this. My first reason is because I don't have a pouch. I have a sleeve. The second reason is because for me, this has proven nothing but torture for me. I don't feel like I should have to do that. My personal program works just as good without that side effect. The only reasons I've ever done liquids only is simply from being threatened with my life (post op) or if I'm just feeling sick and to let my Sleevie rest. That's it. Hope this helps...... -
I have been gaining a little weight in the past couple of days. The only thing I started was drinking low calorie gatorade. Water is not comfortable for me to drink so I wanted in increase my fluid intake. So I started drinking low calorie gatorade. I am having fears that my weight loss was temporary and I will gain the weight back. I went back to a semi liquid diet with soups, protein drinks. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this the 3 week stall?

When Do I Get To Eat My Mushies? Nausea?
Ms skinniness replied to PattieW's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't know what normal eating is anymore. I am reflecting back and realize I have been eating faster again, but have had no difficulties. I want to eat slower and savor the bites I do get. Sounds so dreammmmmmy.....
