How Does The Stomach Heal Together From Vsg Surgery? Can Anyone Tell Me?
Ms skinniness replied to Dooter's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was wondering about whether our stomaches close together or if we are dependent on the staple line sealing the stomach. Thanks for bringing this up. -
Of All Places To Lose Weight The Quickest
Ms skinniness replied to Cheles's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love my size 10 slacks getting loose. The only problem is, my thighs are so loose that they jiggle when ever I walk or more. Reminds me that I have to exercise now even more. I am afraig to try on a size 8 though. Fear always keeps us down. Time to challenge the fear and do it anyways! LOL -
The Stomach Gurgles......
Ms skinniness replied to fluffylibra30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
An ER doc told me it was gas. LOL He even thought I may have a leak.... That was scary, but I didn't. I don't have it too much anymore. I'm 3 months out now and still trying to learn about my tummy needs. Hungry or thirsty? LOL -
I love Chipolte (sorry for miss spelling it). In fact that's where I'm going after this today. Yayyyyyyyy!

good question to ponder on. Is this sick feeling around the time that you typically would have a meal? Or how is your fluid intake. I find myself feeling hungry when I am actually thristy. What I have been doing is drinking water and trying to eat at meal times. Doesn't always work though. LOL

A Slow Loss Is Still A Loss ;)
Ms skinniness replied to ITSMEMRSJ's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You are a loser in weight. All of a sudden, it will be gone. I really never knew how big I was because I had a mental picture of my weight from years ago. A friend told me that My stomach was really out and you could use my butt as a self. Ummm, was she being mean or was this the way I looked? When clarifying with my daughter, she told me she was just being mean..... Umm, who needs friends like that? I'm moving on with my weight loss and have even set up an appt with a NUT this friday to see how I can speed things up. Yayyy! You will lose, just at a different rate than some others. -

Band To Sleeve - I Can't Believe How Sad I Am About All This.
Ms skinniness replied to kimmr's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I hope you call tomorrow and start counseling. It sounds like you are catastrophizing and may have a little depression going on. A person has to do what a person has to do in order to get to a healthier place. Take a step back, take a deep breath, and breath. Money comes and goes and yet things will work out. You might not get your new house soon, but you will get the house, maybe little later than planned. How does your hubby feel about having another procedure? You have a complication with the lap band and if you have to have another surgery because it's slipping, then you really do want to think about the gastric sleeve. I hear alot of people are opting to go to Mexico and have had awesome services there. There are other options. Best Wishes... -
OK, you are just having too much fun! Now it's time to get back to business and eat healthy. I doubt you have gained too much weight if any, but if you have, you can get it off.

Dealing With Constipation.....please Help!
Ms skinniness replied to markajd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, it is perfectly good. My doc recommended that for me. I hated the taste and decided to get some Miralax and it worked great. Not the same day though. It was like 2 days later. -
Low End Bmi To Qualify For Gastric Sleeve...don't Want To Lose Too Much?
Ms skinniness replied to mommy794's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5'6" and Kaiser had approved the surgery, but when I got to the surgeon, I had lost weight and no longer qualified for the surgery. The only thing that got me the surgery was that I had diabetes. I wasn't taking any meds for the diabetes because I chose not too. It was an uphill battle until I met the second time with the doc. She looked at all my blood work and confirmed that I was diabetic. It was a real hassle. I even stopped eating healthy and tried to gain weight, but lost instead. My surgery was Oct 4 and I am doing really great. Yes my best friend is very judgmental about the surgery but I don't care. It's my body and I do what I need to so I can get healthy. Go for it! It is totally worth it. -

Starting The New Year With The Bootcamp
Ms skinniness replied to smallgirlsxthree's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sure, just do it every morning (take vitamins). Picture in your mind that your going for a nice walk and how good you feel about yourself and the weight that you have lost. You are looking really awesome now, but since you have some areas in your body that jiggles, you want to tone those areas by increasing your exercise. Park you car far away from the stores and walk to them. It is time to be thankful for this opportunity to continue on your journey to a skinner you! You deserve this! Do you think you might be fighting a little depression? You have given up alot by choosing this adventure. -
6 Days Post-op, Is It Ok To Take Nyquil For Cold?
Ms skinniness replied to keybold64's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree, if Nyquil burns going down, it's definitely going to be harmful to your baby tummy. Drink as much water as you can to wash it away. Get healthy! -
Help, I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Ms skinniness replied to peacequeen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can you take your pills with a protein shake. It's really difficult to figure out what's happening. Work with taking in some liquid a little at a time. Your tummy is probably swollen from the surgery, so take your time. My surgeons office want us to wait 10 minutes before each bite. I can't do this, so i wait a couple of minutes. The best thing to do would be to call your surgeon and ask about the amount you can consume. It will be very little. Don't stress on it, your tummy will tell you when it's full. Good luck. Happy trails. -
I Have Decided To Tackle One Of My "bad Habits"
Ms skinniness replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Dam that Head hunger. LOL I like that you recognize this is an issue instead rationalizing it. I know that I have alot of head hunger and am beginning to recognize it. I am trying to increase my fluid intake so that I can distinguish if i'm thirsty or hungry. It's not easy. Good job minime
