1St Time Vomiting, Is This Normal?
Ms skinniness replied to Mrs.Newme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told by my NUT and doc's office to wait 30 minutes before and after food. They said that drinking with meals with cause us to throw up. It's not a pleasant thing. Hang in and try to wait before drinking at lease 30 minutes. -

2 Weeks Post Op And The Dreaded Stall!
Ms skinniness replied to 2bfit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats! Yes it is painful to not see the pounds decreasing. But it is good to see the inches disappearing. I keep reading that this stall is to be expected, but fear that I am the exception to the rule. Again this would be another failure for me. I know that I'm catastrophizing. Can't help it though. This too will pass! LOL -

Exericise Or No Exercise
Ms skinniness replied to yecats's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had difficulties making the time to exercise. Excuse me, I wouldn't make the time. I had the time but talked myself out of it. Yesterday I started back at the gym working on my core and I absolutely loved it. It wasn't overly strenuous, and I am a little sore today, but manageable. I will do the core exercises every day to strenghten my muscles and then progress on to weight lifting. I love it. I am 3 months out and havew avoided exercising. I park further out in parking lots, walk during my down time at work. Anything I can think of. I don't want the wrinkly, baggy skin, it's kinda gross. I will probably have plastics in a year or so. Hang in there and take one day at a time. -
Dr. Appointment Visit 12/21/11 To Current
Ms skinniness commented on Branhardin's blog entry in Brandi's Blog
Imagine your new thin self getting on a carnival ride with your beautiful children and they have the biggest smile ever! You sit down and the safety bar goes down and clicks and there is so much room between your tummy and the safety bar! This will be a reality. Everyone is scare before the surgery. I was totally freaking out and wanted to run. I didn't run and am very thankful I had the surgery. The best thing that's ever happened for me. Hang in there....... -

It takes awhile. I remember for a long time I was like in a trance. Also was tired and had some difficulty concentrating. Now I'm 3 months out and feeling great. Today was the first day back to the gym with a personal trainer. It was great. Instant energy boost. Yayyyy! I realize that I will never feel the same when eating though. That's ok, eating now is just to feed by body. Looking good is alot better!

A Yr Out And Able To Eat A Lot More?
Ms skinniness replied to ngory07's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My NUT has told me that I need to be getting 1200 calories a day. This is alot of calories for me, I struggle with eating at this point. You are a year out and everything you have eaten is really healthy. From what I learned, if you are on a 1200 calorie diet, you will lose 2lbs a week. If it's 1500, you will lose 1 lb per week. It feels like you are in this range. CONGRATS on all your weight loss! -
Positive Feedback
Ms skinniness replied to PreciousCargo's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My surgery went great. I have had no complications. I was really scared as time approached, but I knew that I needed the surgery to help live a longer happier life. I don't regret any of it. So glad I got it. My worst moments were the AM of the surgery. I kept telling my husband, my son, the doc, the anesthieologist that I wanted to run. Ackowledging it helped take away the angst. You will be fine. I just went with the flo because if I changed my mind, it would have took 6 months to go through the process again, all those classes and appointments and jumpting through the hoops. I am so much happier now. Good luck on your journey. And yes, you will be fearful, but it's ok. -

I noticed that in the last couple of days I have been fluctuating about 2 to 3 lbs. I can't seem to get out of this stall. Yuck..... here we go again! I am glad to see that this is normal fluctuation. I am not going to panic just yet! Maybe tomorrow! -
How Much Protein In One Sitting?
Ms skinniness replied to Dania621's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I'm not getting enough protein in my diet, so I have increased my protein by drinking 2 protein drinks (30gm) and it is really difficult. I also eat alot of chicken and cheeses. I am looking more into low fat cheeses though. -

Do You Have A Lot Of Loose Skin After Losing Weight?
Ms skinniness replied to AngieG0410's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow! that sounds fantastic! I've been questioning the loose skin thing. I know my inner thighs have alot of loose skin but I'm only 3 months out and starting the gym today with a personal trainer. Not really looking forward to it. Thanks for the information.
