How Do You Guys Get All Your Meals In?
Ms skinniness replied to TexasTina's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My NUT also wants me to eat 1200 calories a day. I can't. I can barely get in 800 calories. I called my surgeon's office and they said to shoot for 800 calories to 1000. So I am basically focusing on protein, protein, protein, and lots of fluids. -

Ms skinniness replied to juzmejnee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats to everyone! I had been in a stall since Xmas. today I went to buy some new slacks and I had to go down a size to 8! Yayyyyyy me. I have been losing inches. The one thing I notice is that I still have alot of fat on my thighs, stomach and arms. Time to get to toning my body now. CONGRATS to all of us. I will take what ever I can get.....LOL -
I Just Sucked The Cheese Off A Dorito And It Was So Satisfying.
Ms skinniness replied to Kareforme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Licking the cheese off a doritos is not that bad. I caught myself eating a bite of a twix candy bar about 2 weeks out. I had to remind myself that I could get really sick with eating sugar. I was shocked that it was such an automatic behavior. Yes it does happen, but use your coping skills to stop the thoughts that leads to eating stuff we shouldn't eat. -
Anyone Ever Lost Friends After Knowing You Were Getting The Surgery?
Ms skinniness replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No, I have heard about how I'm not big enough for the surgery. All I have to do is diet. That was frustrating. If I could do that, I wouldn't have all the weight I had. I just try to remind myself that if my friends have a problem with my weight loss, then that's their issue, not mine. -
I Can't Tolerate Water?
Ms skinniness replied to CVWillis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's frustrating. Some people can tolerate gatorade. Actually, what ever you can get in in fluid is awesome. Your protein drinks also count as liquids. It's important to get your fluid in. I had difficulty drinking water and diluted some low calorie g2 gatorade and it went down really good. Good luck and be patient with yourself. -

Is 36 Lbs Lost In 2 Months Good?
Ms skinniness replied to LeLe's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
this great! Keep up with doc's orders and exercise to support your muscles and bones. -
Tell your SIL that you are concerned for her health and ask her to go see her surgeon. It's not fun not eating for 6 days. If she refuses, then let her know that is her choice, but a foolish choice nonetheless. Keep reminding yourself that she will only go when she is ready for help. You are a very caring compassionate person. Do you have a Sleeve?

Finish Everything On Your Plate!
Ms skinniness replied to Less of Leslie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Now that I'm eating alot less food and have learned to take very small portions. I find myself watching my spouse eat. He is quite an eater. He just keeps eating and eating and eating. It is really bothersome for me because I am afraid of loosing him. He couldn't even walk the mall hardly yesterday. He weighs 230lbs and is 5'9". He is 68 years old. He doesn't really exercise. And he won't. It's like a disaster waiting to happen. I don't know how to get him to increase his exercise. He tells me that he's tired. Is anyone else struggling with this issue. I know it's my problem. -
OMG this sounds so good. Next time I go out to eat, I am going to get some Sushi! the protein sounds great.... LOL

Finish Everything On Your Plate!
Ms skinniness replied to Less of Leslie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
when I go out to eat, I usually take bites from his plate.... It saves me the cost of a meal. Love it. When I do take it home, I just take a few bites of everything, and send the rest back if I order something small. At home I bought some really cute desert plates that I put my food on. It helps me take smaller portions. It has been really helpful! -
Make sure your doc's office won't make you jump through any more hoops. I know that with Kaiser, if the surgery wasn't done within 6 months, I would have had to do the 12 week classes all over.

Surgery Less Than 36 Hours Away! Whew...nervous
Ms skinniness replied to Joiebean's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is one of the hardest any of us will ever do. However, this has been the most rewarding for myself. There are times when I find myself worried that I'm in a stall, but after reading stuff from other members of our BIG LOSER's ClUB, I have decided to just go through the process and enjoy each new day. Today and the past few days I have had some NSV's (non surgery victories) like being able to bend down and tie my shoes and a tremendous burst of energy. Loving it. Even if I'm thinking about being in a stall, I get so into trying to trigger weight loss that I wasn't enjoying today. So, today I am choosing to trust that my weight will come off. Love it..... -

Keep yourself busy, use positive self talk and picture yourself with the weight melting away.... Think about getting new cloths and compliments from the people you love on how good you look. Think about better health. Pretty much try and stay busy and embrace the new you. -
Tired Of Drinking Broth? Here Is What I Did...
Ms skinniness replied to Mr_Worm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Actually, I would go to El Pollo Loco and buy a small chicken tortilla soup and drink the broth. My hubby would finished it off (chicken and veggies). Oh I didn't put the tortilla strips in though. In the first stages, I was allowed to have protein shakes, sf pudding, jello, popicles sf. So I never go bored. Oh if I went out to a restaraunt with my family, I would order vegetable beef soup and sip on the broth. It was really good. -

Ms skinniness replied to yecats's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Severe Shoulder Pain
Ms skinniness replied to utopianaurora's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Please go to urgent care or the ER. This can be really serious, especially if it's a leak. Let us know what's happening please. -
Levi's rule. I did buy 2 pairs and they are always slipping down now! Hate to buy more due to the expense. So I'm looking for a belt. LOL

I've had those days. It is probably nothing tho. Just stick to the protein first, water, and then the rest. This is doable.
