Knowing What You Know Now, What Would You Do Differently?
Ms skinniness replied to Amanda 3.0's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Actually, I would not do anything different. Well, maybe not have gone to the scale everyday. I liked it better when I didn't weigh myself on a daily basis. So much more rewarding. I liked the experience of my body readjusting in inches and discovering that my pants got toooooo baggy in a day time. -
Out 12 Days....,,frustrated!
Ms skinniness replied to Kthump's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can't wait until you have the realization that your pants have gotten way too big the afternoon you put them on! That's an NSV to have. I remember having my pants be a great fit in the am and the pm, they were sagging on my body. They weren't stretch pants either. It was a time when my body was readjusting in inches. At that time I wasn't weighing myself on a daily basis, just every few weeks. Now I weigh myself daily and it drives me crazy. Need to stop weighing. -
Congrats! You are doing great. Yes, I know people who have had a an RnY and has gained back 40 lbs. I believe that we always have to be mindful about eating a healthy diet. I hope to always be eating under 1200 calories a day for maintenance. I love how I feel today and the increase in energy is phenominal. Love it.

Curious, Did This Happen To You?... No 3 Week Stall, But A Gain!
Ms skinniness replied to happy1957's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I woke up this am and decided to just weigh myself, even though I didn't expect to lose any. I got a big surprise and had gained 4 lbs over night. Yes my ring is tighter on my finger this am. LOL. I am just going to put away the scale for the week and eat healthy. Tired of the ups and downs of weigh ins. -
I'm Always Ccccold!
Ms skinniness replied to Kthump's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am really cold at times now. I have been getting hot in the evening times lately. It's really confusing for me. I would rather be cold and able to bundle up than hot though. -
My personal trainer wants me to drink 1gm of protein for each lb I weight. That's like 163gms. That seems like an awful lot and I'm afraid I will gain weight by drinking that much protein. LOL

Time Off From Work
Ms skinniness replied to MiTurner247's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
If your work will let you take a few weeks off, I highly recommend that so that you can adjust to your new eating routine and healing. I went to work 1 week after the surgery and caught myself in somewhat of a trance driving to work. Sometimes I had difficulty concentrating and focusing on discussions we were having. This is the time to take care of you! Best wishes. -

Ms skinniness replied to hadouni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't have any staples or stictes, I had glue and a liquid bandaid over it that came off around 6 weeks. I had not problems with healing. -

My surgeon would not give me a release to exercise until I was 2 months. I'd ask your surgeon for a release to exercise.

I have recently got into a size 8 slacks and a medium top and feel great. But I still weight 164 lbs. That to me is alot. I look at my body and I can see a mini size version of the bigger me at 223lbs. I am working at increasing exercise and working on core strength. I will be walking for 30 minutes each day. 6+ Months Out And Stalled For Last 2... Fail?
Ms skinniness replied to BeachWithMyBabies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I agree. Protein, protein, protein and veggies. I like to basic stick to the basics of boot camp by lisMissDiva. You can find it under the food and nutrition section. Take 1 day at a time and enjoy each day. Take a walk daily to refresh your mind and perspective. Try a couple of days of liquids, loaded with protein. this includes protein drinks. I've learned to love them. -
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Isn't it amazing! Rocking that sleeve really works! CONGRATS! I too have gotten down to a size 8 in slacks! Totally rocking..... LOL

Fee For Dietician And Psych. Consults?
Ms skinniness replied to Tana_Q's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can you go for a psych eval with a provider on your insurance panel? What about finding a nutritionist on your insurance panel? Ask your surgeon's office or doc if you can use someone outside their practice. It could save you some $$. -
