Ms skinniness replied to Forensikchic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

My CW is 155.9, My goal weight is GW 150. That should be quite a challenge. Actually, even though I lost lbs, Imy cloths aren't any looser. ;( but I',m very happy because I know the inches will melt away soooooooon.. -
Oh, wait for your stall, then your body will be decreasing by many, many inches! It will happen! Keep us posted, and i can't wait until the inches just melt off of you.......

Protein Drink With Too Much Sugar!
Ms skinniness replied to hadouni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I always check labels now. When I have forgotten, I have always regretted it. I like Nutek pro 5, it's high on protein and low on sugar and it tastes great. I also drink the Premier chocolate protein from Costco or Sam's Club. -
I'm In "the Club"!
Ms skinniness replied to Writergirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Glad to hear your home. You are very gassy and may need a PPI to help decrease the acid. It would be good to talk to your surgeon's office and ask what they recommend if your not already taking one. Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S CLUB! LOL Start ROCKIN that SLEEVE! :Banane57:  -

Caloric Intake Too Low?
Ms skinniness replied to Dania621's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are doing great! Make sure you get fluids in, protein, and rest to help your tummy heal. Keep healing and taking good care of yourself. -
There are some professionals that theoretically think that our muscles have memories. I believe this is true. THe hard work is letting go of the pain because it's no longer needed. I am a therapist and I work with my clients in letting go of the pain.

Congrats! Your co worker will have to eat his/her words. You will look great within a couple days after the surgery. Looking forward to hearing about your adventure.

Nice to have no back pain. You might need to strenghten the muscles around your knees so there's no pain. I was just talking to my personal trainer about knees. Actually he was telling me about his dad's knees and about the muscles around the knee that can help compensate for his father's bad knee.

Stalled This Early?
Ms skinniness replied to cscake's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cscake: ask your doctor if these meds can cause weight gain. Better yet, it would be a good ideal to do some research on your own, or call your pharmacist. Lots of meds do cause weight gain. -

I have Kaiser and live in orange county and was given a referral to a bariatric surgeon. I kept getting bills stating the claims were denied and I totally freaked out. I couldn't afford to pay for the surgery, it had been preapproved. I called Kaiser's billing department and they said don't worry about it, the bariatric hospital was sending them incorrect statements. They did eventually pay for the claims. THANKFUL, it was a hugh amount of $$$$$$. It is frustrating!

My 1St Dinner Party And I Am Nervous.
Ms skinniness replied to Itsanewdaycassandra's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Everything is well said here. I personally love sharing something with my hubby. He doesn't need to eat all that food anyways,, and all I can eat is a couple of bites if I'm lucky. I like to stick with protein that is soft and easy for my tummy to digest. I also will sample a few other things. I was really surprised when I went to a certification class and everyone went out to lunch together. Everyone was offering everyone else food. I ended up throwing away most of my expensive meal. So I just don't order anything for me. Soup is a really good choice too..... Have a great time at the party for your mom and who cares what others are thinking, you are the important one! You are ROCKIN that SLEEVE! Have a wonderful time and let us know how it went. -
Waiting For Onederland....
Ms skinniness replied to crosswind's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Owww, time to visualize all the ounces just melting away. I haven't loss anything for a couple of months. But started the basic bootcamp diet 2 days ago, and this am when I woke up i just laid there visualizing my fingers pulling out unwanted and unneeded weight from my body. I got on the scale and I had lost 1 lb. I'm , I thought I had loss my maxium and wouldn't lose anymore. Congrats on your weight loss! It would be a great idea to stop weighing on a daily basis. It drove me crazy! -
Congrats on everything! Well not the gallbladder problems. Your journey is beautiful!

Stalled This Early?
Ms skinniness replied to cscake's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is probably best to stay off the scales and concentrate on getting your water in. Take one day at a time and continue to get some exercise in. It is still early out and your tummy is still in the process of healing itself. Are you taking any meds for you hpothyroid? Later out maybe you can kick up the exercise with your surgeon's approval. Hang in there and just focus on healing, the rest will come. Men do lose alot faster than us women. But that's ok. Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S CLUB! -
Love it!
