Ask The Person Below A Question, Answer The One Above.
Ms skinniness replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in The Lounge
Umm, I love that you have 6 cats. I have 3 cats that act like a pride and attack my son's cat that is scared to death of them and so she stay's in the bedroom . I have 2 rescue dogs, akita & wolf mix and a crazy (and I mean really crazy) german shepherd mix. I have a hubby, son and a daughter that have their significant others over all the time. My son loves to cook and makes me high protein pumpkin banana bread. My daughter doesn't cook at all. Anyways. I have never been to Europe but would love to go sometime soon. -
When Does The Weight Loss Start Happening?
Ms skinniness replied to AliveAgain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't worry about it. It will happen! You will loose so much weight all of a sudden, and won't have any clothes that fit you very soon. Your stomach is swollen and your body will release the weight soon. What is your typical day of eating. When I first had surgery, I really struggled with getting in 64oz of fluid, and all the other stuff. We could help better with a picture of what you eat. Keep Rockin That Sleeve! -
I am so frustrated with the fluctuation of my scale. Yesterday it said I weighed 146.3. Today it said I weighed 161.3. WTF! So I went out and bought a new scale at Target! If the scale saids the same as the new one, the new one goes back. I'm not dehydrated either.

Binge Impossible- My First Non Scale Victory (Long)
Ms skinniness replied to LacieMC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@Lacie. You are really doing a great job. This is not an easy journey and we work on our issues when they come up. I'm really glad you have an appointment with a specialist. This will help you succeed. Please don't beat yourself up, there's no need for that. If anyone on this board yells at you, then yell back. I'm happy that you shared this struggle with others, because others are having struggles with this same issue tooooooooo. You were very brave and wanting help and received great support from people who love you. -
Wow, the time will come before you know it. I know, you already know this. This is a great time to learn and practice all you can for the real thing. Like practic eating a little less food, taking sips of water, and gaining alot of info from this site. I am saving a spot on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH right next to me. Can't wait till you get here!

Binge Impossible- My First Non Scale Victory (Long)
Ms skinniness replied to LacieMC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good job recognizing what your process is. It would be highly advantageous to set up a plan for next time your in your emotional state and want to binge. Maybe you can take a walk, or a hot bath, or call your best friend that can give you some support. This is your pattern that is habitual and is very hard to change. CONGRATS! I would also advise seeking a therapist to stop these behaviors before they start. -
In Pre-Op Phase For Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy
Ms skinniness replied to ReeseMae's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats to all of you! So happy your going to be sleeved. This is the best thing that I have ever done, and believe me, I like looking at myself and taking care of me instead of others for once. I find that it helps me give more to my loved ones because I have become much more healthier both physically and emotionally. YaYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. -
Oh Well Hit That Wall Again!

Taking care of the neurological thing comes first. This is your health and later on you will be able to take care of VSG. Hope things start turning around for you. -
Much, Much Hunger And Too Many Calories
Ms skinniness replied to TexArkgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, It feels really bad when we are feeling hungry. I was really hungry for a long time after surgery then I started taking a PPI. That really helped alot. My stomach even stopped rumbling. Hope you just need to switch your PPI. -

Oh Well Hit That Wall Again!
Ms skinniness replied to Lilu's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm interested in what caused the change. Is there a health problem? Please let us know. Sorry you have to go through all this. It will be worth it after the surgery is done. Getting to that point is stressful and frustrating. -
Recap: So Much Has Happened...
Ms skinniness replied to elracimo3's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow, you have done so much already with your surgeon. Tell him that you really need to get this surgery done soon because of all your health issues. The bottom line is about money. If he thinks you might go elsewhere, he will speed up the process, unless it's a protocol, either way, let him know you are really wanting this surgery for your health and need to speed up the process. I know several individuals with the RnY and are doing just great. What ever it takes, just do it. Please let us know what's going on with you. -
At 8 Months Out I Ate...
Ms skinniness replied to june13sleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to Breakfast with my family today and I ordered a ham scrambler (ham and eggs) with country potatos and sour dough toast. I ate about 1/4th of the ham and egg, 3 small bites of potato, a bit of toast and 2 bites of cantalope. I didn't bother to bring the left overs home. I was totally stuffed. However, earlier when I had gotten up, I drank a Protein drink and ate a baby bel because my family is the slowest at getting ready to go anywhere. Over all, I like how much I eat, I just don't like it when I'm famished! Everyone is doing fine with their eating. Just keep loosing........ If not, mix it up... -

B Complex (Blech!)
Ms skinniness replied to dramagirl28's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I always find the capsules at a health food store. I'm sure GNC would carry caps but I go to whole food markets because I feel they are cheaper. Sometimes I have even purchased the capsules from Vitacost on the internet. Love the capsules, they save me. LOL -
Alot of people have said that they use unjury in their broths and are able to keep it down. Just a thought. Sad that your having all these pains. It will get better.

Valentine's Day Challenge!
Ms skinniness replied to Forensikchic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well, I have surpassed by Valentine's GW of 150. I currently weighed this am and it was 146.3. I've done it. I am very happy at this moment and am just hoping the scale doesn't bounce back up tomorrow am. Maybe I will wait until saturday to step back on the scale. -
I am so stoked. Today I weighed myself and the scale said 144.6 lbs. Yesterday I weighed myself and the same scale reported 161.4. Can I trust this scale, or is alot of my weight water weight?

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Feedyoureye: It's sounds like you have some depression going on. It's very important that you get out of the house and start walking, walking and more walking. Clean your house of all the sugars and start the basic bootcamp diet to help clear the sugar out of your system. Get back on the band wagon and "just do it." Depression will pull you down into the spiraling black hole. Did you have a sigar addiction, if so, then it's time to switch it up. When someone gives up one addiction, there is a big void in you that needs something to feel it. I really want to focus on eating healthy, getting alot of exercise, and I am currently looking for something like a hobby to feel my time. This is not an easy stage of our new journey. If needed, find a therapist that can trust to help guide you along the way. Start by making a choice to do one thing that you've been avoiding, like cleaning your house. Take 1 space at a time. You can do this. Most important thing is to get out of the house and exercise. Depression is also known as an imbalance in chemicals and hormones, and God knows, we have made alot of changes in our lifes in a very short period of time. Sorry for the long reply. -

Sleeve Scar Tissue
Ms skinniness replied to peacequeen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told it was 6 months to completely heal. But I had a 2 month period where I couldn't lift over 10 lbs or do any vigorous exercise.
