Right Hand Side Pain
Ms skinniness replied to Ramboy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It doesn't hurt to call your surgeon's office. Oh wait, it's saturday. Ummmm! If it's unbearable, you could go into urgent care. If you have a fever, your incision site is red and really sore, then definitely go into your urgent care or ER. -

Help Desired, Please
Ms skinniness replied to Helen the Cat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am a Marriage Therapist and your husband is scared to death that your going to leave him. If I was you, I would go to therapy myself and give him an open invitation. He will follow if he wants to save his marriage. He does sound really depressed and could benefit from some sort of antidepressant. along with therapy. However, he views therapy as a bad thing. :banghead: Also, you both are in a big transition now, it's not easy living together. Even though you've lived in Iowa most the time, research has shown that there is a culture shock when changing locations. It takes 2 years to adjust and climate, and then it's really hard to go back. Give it time, Tell yourself that your beautiful (because you are) and let your hubby struggle with himself. Please don't take that on. That's his issue not yours. BTW, my hubby is over weight and he's working on eating less and slowing down when he's eating. He has lost a few lbs. Your hubby will follow too. It takes time. Just keep telling your hubby you love him, and let him have his little tantrums. Do not reinforce those. I know, easier said then done. Hugs -
CONGRATS! I can't wait to hear more. You are doing great..... And you did not take the easy way out! This is hard and confusing at times...... :Banane57:

Lump...could It Be From The Heparin Or A Hernia?
Ms skinniness replied to Shesgotstyle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i never had any difficulties with the shots in the belly, but the incision site on the left had a raised area that fit in the palm of my hand. It was nothing, it went away about 2 months later. A hernia is where there's a weakness in the muscle wall and there's inside organs protudind out through the weak spot (or hole) in the muscle. I learned that by researching. You probably don't have a hernia, but have the doc check it out. -

Start Of A Bad Morning
Ms skinniness replied to PreciousCargo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So sorry your having a bad day! Did the pedialyte give you dumping syndrome? If not, no harm. I like to drink G2 because it's low calorie, but have drank the regular Gatorade. I also dilute it down to 25% to 50% water and it still tastes really good. Hope you feel better. -
Today the scales have called my name and I have completely resisted all urges to check my weight!

I am also a Kaiser candidate and I also attended the 12 week option's program. You have done all this work to get to this point of the referral. If you decide not to go through with it, when you change your mind and discover that you really need the surgery, you are going to have to redo the whole process over again. I met numerous people who had done this. I know this isn't answering your question, but here is the answer. You have made a habitual change and decision to eat healthy food too loose weight. With the surgery, you will continue with healthier eating habits and get to a point where your not feeling deprived of all the snacking you use to do. Your body will change and get healthy where you don't need all those medications you've been taking (or not). You will feel so much better about yourself. Yes, it is the hardest thing you will ever do. But you will have so much more energy than now. I am 55 years old and was diabetic. My A1c is still at 6 so they still consider me a diabetic. However, it will be under 6 in no time, and I won't be diabetic then. I can still have Snacks when I want, I just don't have to eat massive quanities. I love my sleeve and would do it again in a heart beat. We all have second thoughts about the procedure, but remember, if you could of continued on with your weight loss, you would have, you haven't so here is a great option that is successful. You challenge your head hunger for the snacky foods. It's all in our thought processes. Hope to hear your on the BIG LOSER's BENCH with us! This is a great place to be as I'm sure you have read the numerous posts for other people with the sleeve. We all love it!

you have just had a major surgery and your body is in shock. When you have a dramatic decrease in carbs, it can put our minds in a foggy state. This is normal. Don't stress of your marriage. If your marriage was in trouble, it would of happened way before your surgery. You have a good man there that loves you to death. He mostly likely isn't concerned about the things your worried about. If in doubt, ask him. Don't be so hard on yourself. You have been very courageous and have mad e a decision to better you life. Take care of yourself.......

CONGRATS! This surgery is ment to be. My insurance made me jump through hoops,

It could be worst. Glad your ok. Did you put some antibiotic ointment on there? Hope so. Is it painful? Hope not.
