Ms skinniness replied to Sunshine Girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have you googled wls diets? They can give you a good example of what to eat. -
Be careful, if you don't put nurishment in your body, you will end up in the hospital with malnutrition. No need to feel guilty here. Eat protein, and get all your fluids in if you can. Or work towards getting fluids in. Your doing fine.

8 Months Out...i've Altered My Stomach, Now How To Alter My Mind?
Ms skinniness replied to luvbugz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Time for a reboot! Get back to basics. Look of LilMissDiva's Basic Bootcamp under food and nutrition. It will help you refocus to healthier eating to get the sugar out of your system. You are having a lot of head hunger that your fighting. Can you see a College Therapist? He/she could help you challenge your head hunger and give you postive coping skills so you can recognize and stop giving into the head hunger. The last 20 lbs will be the hardest to loose so it would benefit you to seek out a Therapist. -

BTW, 2 of my cats have a heart murmur. They are doing exceptional. I knew one had a murmur bc the breeder got it back from someone who purchased him and returned him back as defective. He is the best CAT I've ever had. He's an Ocicat. Hang in there. -

Personal Trainer...yay Or Nay?
Ms skinniness replied to topgun's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use a personal trainer to help me with strengthening my core so that when I do use the weight equipment, I am less likely to hurt myself. I see him l time per week and he gives me a set of exercises to do. I like what mnb sleeve saids about mixing it up. It keeps it exciting and helps with meeting with friends. Wish you luck! Start exercise with a little at a time. -

Sleeve of Steel: I forgot to mention that I stay away from most processed foods due to all the junk. I eat low fat cheeses and yogurt. I do use butter instead of margarine. I also eat organic to avoid pesticides. I like how you eat . -
1 Week, 1 Day Post Op, Worried I Might Get To Little.
Ms skinniness replied to Jesusislove's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, you will be able to eat more. Alot of people are able to eat 1200 to 1500 calories with no problem. I myself am at 5 months out and get in less than 900 calories. I'm ok with this, because I'm a little fearful of gaining the weight back. I know it's an irrational thought, but I still have the thoughts. I need to work on these thoughts. LOL CONGRATS! Keep ROCKIN that SLEEVE! -
10 Week Update....(Confessions, Blessings And Lessons)
Ms skinniness replied to favoredone's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Guess what? You need to donate those beautiful large cloths to someone else because you will never fit them again! I had the same dilemma. Didn't want to get rid of my old cloths and didn't know why. Subconsciously I am fearful I will gain the weight back. That is my fear talking. So yesturday, my son and I took them to the Goodwill and donated them. Now I have so much space in my closet and also in the garage where I had large trash bags full of clothes. It is a good feeling. I am never going to gain the weight back because I am choosing to eat healthy and to increase my exercise when possible. From past posts of yours, I picked up a wonderful since of being you (happy, excited, enjoying attention). There's no going back, it's forward on from here and you will blossom like a beautiful red rose. CONGRATS on your success! -

Ms skinniness replied to kdippy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kathy: it is amazing that you are doing as well as you are right now considering all the stress your in. Just try and make the healthiest choices that you can. If you go to a restarant, order some Soup, cottage cheese, or anything that is high Protein. Give your self some slack, and work towards getting your environment back to a normal status quo. You have lost 50 lbs and that's great! Let's give yourself some KUDO's for the hard work you've done so far. Hugs XOXOXOX  -

10Months Out Ate My First Cheeaeburger Today
Ms skinniness replied to pasquini's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Actually, today I went out with my family and I ordered a Burnin Love cheeseburger. I ate 1/4 of it and picked the bread off out of habit. I don't really care for bread, Pasta, or rice anymore due to the space it takes up. I found out that the burger was really hot and bothered my stomach. Glad to be done. For dinner, I'm having a premier Protein shake. I am totally amazed with the low calories I eat. But very happy. I think uneating our sleeve is the way to go. Congrats to everyone! -
Swollen Stomach 1 Week Post-Op
Ms skinniness replied to K8SGR8's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It would be a good ideal to call your surgeon's office and describe you swelling to the doc or PA. Yes, our stomachs are swollen right after surgery due to having 85% removed. They stapled and cut and sewen over the stapleline. But I never could visually see the stomach being swollen. I felt it when eating and drinking. CONGRATS! Welcome the the BIG LOSER'S CLUB!
