Ms skinniness replied to androidtomato's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are doing great! How fortunate for you that they were able to fix those things with this procedure. You will heal just fine. Try not to focus on getting a leak, because the chances are, you won't get one. But if you do get one, your be very proactive and get help to heal the leak. CONGRATS and enjoy the ride now! -

Back To Work Tomorrow
Ms skinniness replied to ddd8704's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yogurts, cheese, soups, crackers, luncheon meats. That's what I took to work and still do. I seem to prefer foods that are really soft at 5 months out. But do eat a lot of other stuff. -
7 Weeks Check Up!
Ms skinniness replied to Wenbiggs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hated buying cloths too. But I did buy my first pair of Levi's at 2 months just because. Now they are way too big and I was spending a lot of time pulling them up. LOL Still am leary to buy new cloths because I need to loose 25 lbs. ;) -
I can eat salad at 5 months out, but I prefer the salads with a lot of color and nutritional value. Iceberg has zero nutritional value so I won't eat it. But I do eat salads in small portions.

THe hospital sent me home with liquid Loratab. That's after I told both the surgeon and hospital staff that Vicodin acts as a stimulant with me. Loratab is liquid Vicodin. I had to have some be I got a really bad HA and i freaked out. So I took some and was up for 3 nights and days. Go figure. I went ant had Kaiser change the meds to Tylenol with Cod. That worked really well.

Got Hernias?
Ms skinniness replied to Beyon Sleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not sure if it's a hernia, but I would call the surgeon's office to clarify with them so I wouldn't worry about it. We can speculate, but even then we could be wrong and with delaying any treatment could cause you more harm than good. Please keep us informed so we know your doing ok. ;) -
Just protein today! Like chicken tortilla soup from El Pollo Loco w/o tortilla strips! Sounds delicious.

Time Article: Why Exercise Won't Make You Thin
Ms skinniness replied to Kris's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Kris: this is a really interesting article. Basically i got that eating less will contribute to weight loss and that exercise increases are hunger and is beneficial on cognitive levels and physical but not towards weight loss. I will exercise for the physical benefits but not for weight loss. I really need to think about this a lot before commenting on it. -
I Just Don't Know What I Want
Ms skinniness replied to Globetrotter's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No donuts! LOL Maybe you just want to relax and allow yourself to want, without indulging yourself. We deserve the pampering. Hang in there and treasure who you are. -
CONGRATS! This is the best journey I've ever been on. So many positive changes for me. My body is so beautiful now with cloths on LOL. I have more energy now. 2 friends that are nayers are having to eat their words! Yep, eat their words! 1 of them has diabetes and is struggling with problems with ED is really looking at my surgery differently now. HAHA! I love watching his wheels turn in his head. He has comorbities with his weight and was yet telling me, your not that big, are your crazy? Anyways, some friends, that are your true friends will stay, and some friends, that really weren't your friends, will leave. That's life. Anyways, CONGRATS! Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S BENCH!

I have been so off track in my choices lately, that as of today, I am going to make better choices in eating. Proteins first, add more veggies to my diet, and when I'm over this URI, I will exercise alot more!

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
GT:; that was really not that bad. The donut is a slider food and if you only ate one, then that's great! I can actually see you looking at a stupid donut now and running away! Yep,, that's right, running away! Those are devil donuts! Poison to us. It was just an error in thinking, next time, run away! -
Emotions Days Before Surgery
Ms skinniness replied to 1Bumblebee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow, up till the day before surgery I was excited it was finally going to happen. The morning of the surgery however, was a different story. I remember I was so scared that I told my hubby, son, the anesthiologist, nurses, and doc that I was really scsred and wanted to run. I was shaking so bad. I had all kinds of thoughts going through my head. But I went ahead and had the surgery and now at 5 months out, I have lost 68 lbs and look really good in my cloths that is. I am struggling with the last 38 lbs thought. LOL I go by Nike's "Just do it." It has worked for me so far. I didn't let my anxiety stop me. It would have been so easy to say forget it, let's go to breakfast! But that is what has got me where I was up the that date!. No more for me. You are so normal! -

Dang Tom Cravings!
Ms skinniness replied to fell4falls's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Why waste your time and energy being disgusted with yourself? Get those devil cheetos out of the house and don't buy them any more. That's all. Get some nuts with salt to satisfy you salt craving. They are very nutritious and taste really good. Cheetos as you probably know already are a slider food. They only give us empty calories with no nutritional value. Don't get me wrong, I have eaten some flamin hot cheetos and they did slide right through. So I don't buy them and I tell my children and hubby not to bring them in the house. -
Weight Loss After Vsg
Ms skinniness replied to fat2handsome's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
In the first couple of months, I did not weight myself so I really don't know how much I lost in the first couple of months. However, I am 5 months out and have lost 68lbs. I think I have lost around 10 lbs since December. Overall, I am really happy and as long as I'm eating Protein and veggies, with some starches, I will continue losing weight. I know that by watching others on this site, every one's weight loss is different. There are so many variables that it is impossible to get all the info needed to estimate lbs loss. Just sit back, make healthy eating choices, and enjoy your transformation. It's an awesome ride!
