Yes, it is hard when you cook your favorite foods. I'm noticing that I'm eating more and I get fearful I'm going to gain weight. I just need to chill. -

Insurance Co. Doesn't Want To Pay For Anesthesia
Ms skinniness replied to gmanbat's topic in Insurance & Financing
This happened with my insurance company and the hospital where the surgery was done. My insurance company told me that they were waiting for the correct paper work before paying it. And it was true, they finally paid it. Sit back and try to relax and it will work out. -
Concerned About What I'm Leaving Behind!
Ms skinniness replied to Dizzle's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Why is the BEER so important to you? What about your health? Your wife and kids? What about a better quality of life where you have more energy and feel good about how you look? Do you want to live a healthy life? These are questions I was asking myself, only I'm coming from a wife's perspective. Now I'm watching my hubby struggle with his diabetes and him not wanting to eat less food. I think he would benefit from the surgery himself. But, I want to live to play with my grand children. Food is here for what 20 to 30 minutes and then I felt guilty because I ate it! I want a happy existence, and by the way, I was diagnosed with diabetes and I was scared to death of the neuropathy, poor circulation, etc. So Here I am loving my new hot body. Ask yourself why food is so important to you. Especially that beer. You will still be able to have beer, just less of it. -
I Hate Me, I Hate Me , Ihate Me, Ihate Me
Ms skinniness replied to sallynew's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This makes me so sad! You don't deserve this. There will be days when we have bad judgement and then we recognize it an move on. Tomorrows a new day. The only thing that could really do much damage would be the high sugar in the ice cream and the Orange juice. And it wasn't that much. NO MORE BEATING YOUR SELF UP! Just recognize different choices you can make. You are doing really great! -

Why Are We So Impatient?
Ms skinniness replied to Joyfulone1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Today I went to see my PCP for a heal spur. I had seen him 2 weeks previous to this for a horrible sore throat. I weighed the same today as I did 2 weeks ago. Go figure. But I went to Nordstrum rack and bought new shoes with a high arch and I was looking at clothes and decided to buy some tops. I looked at the M and they looked kinda big, so I went ahead and bought the S. Hope they fit, or I will have to accelerate my weight loss LOL. -
1000 Calories? What Does Your Doc Say?
Ms skinniness replied to SweetP's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I eat around 900 calories daily. I lost a lot of weight in the beginning and don't know if I was in a stall the first 6 weeks. Then I started weighing myself because I wanted to see the scale move. Ha! That changed everything. Stall time and now it's a slow but steady pace. But at least I'm losing it. So I have noticed that there are others around the 1 year mark that are at goal or just about there. So I'm happy I look as good as I do now. Let us know how your doing eating 1000 calories and more. -

Ms skinniness replied to JimmyGotSLEEVED's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Jimmy: don't worry about other people and their narrow mindedness. They mean well, but cause a lot of stress for us. This is a hard journey but very rewarding in and of itself. Welcome! -
Starting To Love My Sleeve
Ms skinniness replied to Reddi4change's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It does get so much better as we heal. I still have times when I eat stuff I shouldn't and I wasn't even hungry. And times I am very cautious about putting things in my sleeve. I'm very protective of it. LOL -

Hey, this recipe is from Paula Dean and it sounds really good! Enjoy! chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake in a New Light For a delicious pound cake that won't pack on the pounds, this is the recipe for you! Traditional pound cake gets its name from the original recipe: a pound of butter, a pound of sugar, and a pound of flour. Our version takes the "pound" out of pound cake, but includes flavors that will delight anyone. Ingredients: • 2 1/4 cups cake flour • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda • 3 large eggs • 2 large egg whites • 1 cup reduced-fat sour cream • 1/4 cup canola oil • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract • 5 tablespoons butter, softened • 1 cup granulated sugar • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar • 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 55 minutes Difficulty: Easy Yield: 16 Servings Instructions: Preheat the oven to 325°F. Spray a 10-inch Bundt pan with nonstick spray. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl until blended; set aside. Whisk the eggs and egg whites in a medium bowl until frothy. Whisk in the sour cream, oil, and vanilla. With an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy, about 1 minute. Reduce the speed to low. Alternately add the flour mixture and the egg mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture and beating just until blended. Scrape the batter into the pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 50 to 55 minutes. Do not overbake. Let cool in the pan on a rack, 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and let cool completely on the rack. Sift the confectioners' sugar evenly over the cooled cake. 1 Week Stall - What?
Ms skinniness replied to hitedawn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope you can get your $$$$$ back! LOL Your body is hanging on to Water and will release really soon. You didn't put the weight on in 2 weeks so it will take a while to get it off. I know it is frustrating and we have all been there. But, I want to do it different now, I want to enjoy where I'm at today. I like my new energy level and I like to take my new body out. I enjoy knowing that I'm only going to buy cute cloths now, not what ever I can find. I'm looking forward to teasing my DH. You will loose a lot more weight trust me. You can't go back so it's a great ideal to move forward. Can't wait to see pictures of you down the road with a beautiful smile on your face. -
3 Months Today And I Could Just Scream!
Ms skinniness replied to Pammie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yep! We can't quit now. Not even if we wanted too! I just keep going and hope that someday, I will be at goal. I'm getting a lot closer! I know that I need to switch it up at times like fluctuating my calorie intake. I can't seem to get over 900 unless I eat junk food. And, I'm not willing to do that. -
So Frustrated With Eating Out!
Ms skinniness posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am so frustrated with eating such small amounts of food. I love eating out with my family. But I find myself getting frustrated because I can hardly eat anything. I sit there looking at the food and wanting to eat more, even though I'm completely full. It is so frustrating for me. Please don't get me wrong, I love my sleeve and my new body and am totally happy I had the surgery. I hate cooking for myself because I eat so little, I get overly concerned with how much my hubby is eating. So frustrating, I know he has to make his own decisions about portion size. ARGGGGGGH! I know some of this is head hunger, but struggle with getting through it! ARGGGGGGGH!
