When women are pregnant, their organs do move somewhat to accomandate the baby. So I believe that our organs have a little more room.

Gurgles...is It Gas Or Is It Acid?
Ms skinniness replied to 2bfit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to the ER when I was around 6 weeks post op because I thought I had a blood clot. No blood clot but the doctor told me I had a lot of gas! Hahaha. I wasn't gurgling loudly like I do at other times. So I know it was both acid that was contributing to the gas. -
Meeting Surgeon Tomorrow To Set My Date!
Ms skinniness replied to amsterjonathon's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
There are so many conflicting emotions running though out everyone who loves us and ourself. Just take it one day at a time and embrace who you are today! Everyone is totally fearful when making this decision and thinking about all the complications that can happen. But there are a small percentage of people that actually have any kind of complications. Try to be thankful for this opportunity. It is the best opportunity I have ever made. -

Protein Shakes - Liquid Or Food?
Ms skinniness replied to Miriam's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I was told in the beginning 8 weeks, my protein drinks can be counted towards my liquids. But then later no. No matter what, I would try to increase my liquid state even if it means drinking G2 gatorade to add flavor. Great job so far! ;) -
I wasn't able to eat in the hospital. They gave me cranberry juice that was diet and water.

Back/chest Pain When Inhaling
Ms skinniness replied to jillh1981's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If I was having the problem your having right now, I would go to the ER due to the risk of it being a leak. I know the DR. didn't think it was a leak, but they don't really know for sure. Your pains are worst now. Do you have a fever? You will not be able to return to work tomorrow anyways. This is just a complication and when you get it fixed, you are going to love your sleeve. Please go to the ER or urgent care and perhaps they will do a sonagram or mri to check. Worst yet, I would be afraid of a blood clot and that is life threatening. Please take good care of yourself. Let us know what's going on, we are concerned for your well being. -
When Did You Start Protein Drinks After Surgery?
Ms skinniness replied to desertmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started my protein drink the day I was released from the hospital. I wasn't able to get much in, but it did count towards my fluid intake. -
Unexplained Rash
Ms skinniness replied to kwyant1976's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't have any ideal but a rash is usually an allergic reaction to something. It would be a good idea to call you surgeon's office tomorrow morning. You would feel better about it. Keep taking the benadryl mean while and please let us know what you find out. -
5 Days Op With A Few General Questions
Ms skinniness replied to cab0ad's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are doing just fine. It is a lot easier drinking fluids because if you drink too much, your pyloris valve releases it into the colon. The same for protein drinks. It is really important that you adhere to the rule of no drinking 30 minutes before your meal to 30 minutes after your meal. Drinking before will take up space and drinking after will push your food intake into you colon, allowing you to eat more. Or it could cause you to vomit. Keep ROCKIN your SLEEVE! -

This is a wonderful NSV! Keep Rockin that Sleeve! -
The only way you will go back up to where you were before you started is if you went back to eating unhealthy foods again. You have diffinately gained muscle weight which will increase your body's ability to burn fat. It's even better than before. Enjoy your body and eat healthy and you will be fine.

Day 4 Of Pre-Op Diet, In Absolute Meltdown Mode.
Ms skinniness replied to faddiscc4's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I didn't have to do a 2 week liquid diet pre-op. I had to do liquids the day before. Maybe it's because I didn't have a fatty liver, I don't know. It would definitely be difficult fore to be in the same house with the wonderful smell of food being prepared. It might be a good ideal to leave when the family sits down to eat if at all possible. Just a suggestion to make it easier for you.
