For Those That Have Been Sleeved For A While
Ms skinniness replied to blackanese25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat out all the time. I enjoy visiting with people that I love and I have more time for conversation. I love sharing meals with others, even before my surgery, we all ate too much anyways. A meal to me is just protein, veggies, and some starch. It just in smaller portions. My hubby is also learning to eat smaller portions too. People are eating way too much food! It's killing everyone. Now we can set a good example for others. Enjoy small portions and enjoy the small bites you can take. I do. -
Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Coops ~ Thank you so much! I did realize that I was in a normal BMI. That means that even if I don't loose my extra lbs, I wouldn't qualify to get a GBS, LOL, I wouldn't want that surgery anyways. I love my sleeve. You will make it up that mountain trail next time! I pretty much can guarantee that! Walking is a great way to clear our minds and plus this is when we gain a lot of insight into us. It's called an epiphany. Love these. My intuition tells me that you are already successful with weight loss and now you are starting to embrace life and it's many joys! You are pretty awesome, strong, and have a lot of courage. Thank you for being here for me. -
Kinda Feeling Down About My Weight Loss
Ms skinniness replied to cab0ad's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is there any way you can stay away from your scale. Your body will loose weight, it is just creating more anxiety by watching the scale. I didn't even weigh myself until 3 weeks post op and that was at my surgeon's office. I couldn't remember what they told me but said I was doing fine. Then I started weighing myself at home and that created so much anxiety because my scale seemed like it had stopped moving. Now I try to only weigh myself 1 time per week, and if I weigh more I have to tell myself that I have a bounce weight going on. I even went out and bought a new scale. I ended up taking it back because my scale wasn't broken. Hand in here. THere's no way your not going to loose your weight with the little bit of food your eating. Keep it simple, you will loose weight. If your really worried, check out LilMissDiva's The Basic Boot Camp under food and nutrition. You can do this and you are doing it! Congrats! -
I'm Certain That Vsg Will Kill Me.
Ms skinniness replied to kimmr's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So your afraid your gona die? You have had the band and you didn't die. So the probability of dyeing from the sleeve is extremely minimal. You would more likely die from a band due to the severe complications it poses. If we stop and think about it, there is no guarantee that we won't get hit by a car and die tomorrow without the surgery. So I voted for living my life to the fullest by becoming as healthy as I can today and also enjoying the benefits of being slim. Our fear stop us from doing so much in our lives that would make us happy. Please don't let your fear rule your life. The sleeve is a life saving tool that helps us become healthier, more confident, and looking really good. Remember, there's no guarantees in our lives so we have to make the best of it. You will do great and if you have been reading the posts on here, pretty much everyone has said that this procedure has saved their lives. These are true testimonies about the benefits of the sleeve. It is not easy, but worth the journey. It's a learning experience for us all. My sleeve has saved my life. -
I have 4 more pounds to loose to make my Easter challenge. I am very frustrated at this point due to a very minimal weight loss. I am going to have to up my calorie intake to see if that helps and drink a lot more water. The old me would have diverted to taking a diuretic. LOL Now I worry about dehydration. Anyways, the game is on! Let's do it!

Hey Coops ~ it seems like i'm in the same boat with you. I have a little bounce weight but haven't lost anything significantly for a few months. I also am wondering if I'm at my resting point. I also need to increase my exercise, but seem to avoid it. That I will begin today. Going to the mountains and having some fun this weekend. I do have an appointment next with with my surgeon for my 6 month check in. I will have a lot of questions to ask her about kick starting it. I am going to try and eat more calories (healthy calories) this weekend too. Don't give up, this is just a life style change. -

5 Months Post Op With Pics!
Ms skinniness replied to ab76307's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You look absolutely amazing! Congrats on your weight loss! -
At 6 weeks out i was eating mushies. I didn't start eating meats until around 3 months post op and it had to be very moist chicken. I'm 5.5 months post op and yesterday I went to Chipole and the chicken felt too dry and was rather uncomfortable. I try to eat moist things. Hope this helps.

Does Anybody Drink A Protein Shake Before Bed?
Ms skinniness replied to bethp's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I drink a protein drink about 1 hour before I go to bed. I've done very well on the protein. -
Encouragement Needed Please!
Ms skinniness replied to Disney_Diva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
CONGRATS! This is the worst part of the procedure. It does get better every day. Try walking as much as you can endure. And take sips at least every view minutes. And protein does count as a liquid. You are doing great! -
You Can Definitely Overeat In The Liquid Phase!
Ms skinniness replied to New1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep! There is a restriction when needed. Keep Rockin that Sleeve! -
That's a really good question. I would like to know the answer to this also. I'm an x pepsi addict. But I'm really not willing to risk stretching my sleeve even a tiny bit by drinking the diet soda. I know that it did make me hungry more often in the past.

A lot of people don't know about the surgery and have their eyes closed. A lot of people don't have insurance coverage or the money to pay for the procedure. And a lot of people just don't believe in surgery. I'm glad that I was open minded to getting a sleeve. It has saved my life.

Thankful that you had this surgery! Now you can move on with your life i a relatively painless way. CONGRATS! This is the best NSV ever! -
This is so weird. Going from a GB to a LB is different. I guess it can be done. But what about just going back to basics? That sounds so much more easy.
