Memorial Day Challenge!
Ms skinniness replied to Forensikchic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ok, I'm ready for this challenge. OMG, I just weighed myself and I lost a lb over the weekend! Yayyyyyyyy! SW 223 CW 153.4 GW 130 Challenge weight loss 7 lbs That's a lb a week. Tomorrow the BASIC BOOTCAMP Diet from LilMissDiva is on! We can do this and we will! We have no choice in this, our sleeve will not allow us to fail! Let's ROCK these SLEEVES! -
Wow, this decision is really a hard one. I will not be the one to push you towards having the surgery. This is a decision you need to make yourself. Everything that I've heard about this surgery reports that the vertical sleeve is one of the safest procedures here. There is even a famous cook (sorry I don't know his time) that has no stomach at all and eats to fuel his body organically. For me personal, this is the best decision I have made. I could have chosen the RnY but then I'd have difficulties with malabsorbtion, dumping, or the Lap Band which is a total failure for many people. Not to mention other complications and it's not permanent. There is plication but I don't want my stomach to be folded and stapled, plus it would still stretch out. I hope you let us know what your choice is. don't let your fear stop you from being successful.

Sourrounded By So Much Negativity.....starting To Second Guess Myself...
Ms skinniness replied to Jen K's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
So sad to see family living in the fear mode of what if's. What if's can drive you crazy. It's even harder when you DH is against it. My daughter didn't want me to have the surgery, but I did and now she's very happy for me. it will all work out. This is the time to use your intuition and ask yourself what it is that you need. then follow your heart. You are the only one that can make this decision. hang in there and remind yourself that it is their issue and not yours. Let us know what you decide. -

A Story From A Newbie
Ms skinniness replied to NancyJerry's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
People are so rude! My best friend is very judgmental and it keeps me from sharing things with her. When I told her I was going to have this surgery she told me I didn't need it. I wasn't that obese. I'm like WTH? This really pushed me away from her and now I'm practicing forgiveness for ignorance. I still tell everyone bc this is the greatest thing I could of done for myself. I'm happy and there are times when I really want to eat more but I can't. Thankful for my sleeve!! -

Help! Grazing!
Ms skinniness replied to mrjgetssleeved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OMG I've been grazing alot. If I see it I will eat it. When it's time to eat I need to eat or if I'm late, I will eat too much. I'm not sure if it's in my head or I'm hungry. Greeter! Frustrating -
This is awesome!

Don Get It Confused, Im A Drinker! Not An Alcoholic!
Ms skinniness replied to JimmyGotSLEEVED's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't drink alcohol bc I have been working hard to get to this point. I have heard some sad stories about was, drinking and causing death. I have chosen to live a healthier life style and right now there's no room for alcohol. I did like an occasional margarita at times. I probably will have one some time in my future. But right now. Alcohol is not important to me. -

Have you seen 60 min? They have done studies that demonstrate the addictive properties in consuming sugar. Sugar is also consumed by cancer gulped also. I know that I am going to make more of an effort to stay away from processes foods. Fruit drinks are the worst. If u haven't seen 60 min maybe go to the website and see it. This is really scary and makes alot of sense.
