Can You Keep Losing Weight After A Year
Ms skinniness replied to aliandrews's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I believe we will loose weight for as long as we need too. After all they have done the gastric bypass in two stages and discovered that the second step wasn't necessary most of the time, leaving the person with just a sleeve. Yep it's possible..... -
Can Massage Therapy Break Up Fat And Disperse.
Ms skinniness posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey, today my daughter said, let's go get our nails done. So I said ok, that sounds fun, haven't done that since before Thanksgiving. Then she saids, let's go get a massage. So I haven't done that since before my surgery Oct 4, 2011. So I'm laying on the massage chair/table and the person massaging me was really going deep. I tried to communicate this too him but he doesn't understand english (accept for OK). So, he finally got it and let me tell you. He went deep, but worked out a lot of kinks in my muscles. I was laying there receiving this wonderful massage and I started thinking that he was working out or loose some of my fat that's refusing to release. Humm, so I spent most of my relaxation picturing the fat breaking away and just dispersing itself. My body feels so good right now. It felt amazing to me. This is something I highly recommend. Has anyone else had this experience or what do you think? -
IDK but I wish you luck and hopefully the appeal will go through! Keep praying and think positively!

Ugh, This Head Hunger Is A Bia!
Ms skinniness replied to 2bHotGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's not head hunger to me. That is mindless eating. It might help to put the food out of sight and talk to the other family members about not keeping that junk in your sight line. If it's not there, then you won't eat it. Sounds so simple but not so simple. You can do this. I bet you love the weight dropping off. Keep Rockin that Sleeve. -
Rootman ~ I'm right with you. In fact I won't go into any pools because of the fecal matter stuff left everywhere. It's discussing. I hate when the man that I rent office space from leaves fecal matter on the toilet seat. It's so discussing. There you go, this is my rant too! LOL

1 Week Post-Op And Scared!
Ms skinniness replied to missemy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It does get better. As for as eating, you will transition and eating becomes habitual. I still remind myself that I don't need a lot of food. It's the head hunger that's the worst. Make sure you drink as much liquids as you can and then protein. As a rule, protein first, veggies, little starch. Try and hit 54 ozs of water if possible. Oh at this point protein shakes count as a liquid. So keep doing what your doing. Are you taking a PPI? IF not then ask your surgeon to prescribe you one. Now let's heal so you can continue to rock your sleeve! -

A Little Trick To Spruce Up Protein Shakes

That's a great ideal! Thanks for sharing ! -
My FIL in in surgery this am and yesterday was a horrible day for me regarding food. I had a very low food intake due to seeing clients etc., my son was suppose to go pick up a pizza and Costco and when I got home, he still hadn't gone, nor mention it too me when I came in the door. I was so frustrated I went to an old emotional place and started eating whatever was in sight. Yep! That sucked. Finally when the pizza came, I only ate 25% of the bread and the rest was the topping, which was a high fat protein deal. I felt horrible all night. Couple hours later I took a drink of water and that wasn't a happy deal either, I was still full. Oh to top it off, my sons girl friend bought me so Cadbury mini eggs! I just want to scream right now! I am screaming quietly right now! LOL That's my rant!

4 Months Today And Not Happy!
Ms skinniness replied to Pammie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is so frustrating for you and everyone else that experiences it. I am working on starting a diet that is suppose to help speed up our metabolisms, and it is an 8 week program to start with that is very low carb. They have a 5 x 5 rule, meaning 5 carbs every 5 hours. The book is called "The Metabolism Diet." I hope things start picking up for you. I have a feeling it will pick up though. Are you loosing inches? Hope things get moving for you. -
Congrats! Happy dance for you with Lissa! Rock that Sleeve!
