    Drinking Enough Water Everyday

    I was just dehydrated and needed an iv. Lesson learned. I have drank 60 ounces today and will drink more. For a while I've been struggling with fatigue And a feeling of heaviness and so it's from being dehydrated. Even stopped weight loss. So time to drink my water to cleanse my body.

    My surgeon said not to lift anything over 10 lbs. I could walk all I wanted. Actually they wanted. Us to walk for 30 mins.

  5. I have been really bad with eating candy for the past week. I had blood work and my A1C went from 6.0 to 6.3. I am so mad at my self. No more candy. My son's girl friend gave me some of my favorite mini cadbury eggs. Now I am going to have to get rid of them.

    Thank you for all your replies. I am doing much better today. A little cramping in my calves. I am increasing my fluid intake. This is a life time change. Let us Rock our sleeves to the max. LOL.

    Not Much Restriction

    If your hungry, then have some soup or pureed foods. I personally liked pudding that was sugar free and yogurts. They filled me up. As PDXman stated, don't worry about the calories at this point, it practically impossible to go over the limit. Sit back, take a deep breath, and relax. You are doing fine.

    IT is exciting to get a new body! You will have so much more energy and have fun dressing yourself up in cloths that are also flattering. LOL Try not to over think it and take it one step at a time. Enjoy each day as it goes by. Soon you will be standing in front of the mirrow with much slimmer and healthier body. You will love the results. Congrats on your surgery date! You will rock that sleeve.

    Down 66 Pounds In 5 Months

    Along with bumping up the calories, drink a lot more water. You need more water due to your working out! Keep it up and switch it around. Keep your body guessing. Eat proteins, veggies and little starches in this order. This should help.
  15. You need to measure your food out to avoid having to result to unhealthy tactics. My surgeon's office wants us to take a bite every 10 minutes and the least amount of time to eat is 45 minutes. When I calculated this out, it came to 5.5 bites. So I try to keep within that range. However, I struggle with the 10 minute rule. I hate when my food gets cold, even when I keep it in a tortilla warmer, so I just eat about 6 bites and I don't have any problems like this. You can do this and will be grateful with the results.

    Low Testosterone?

    Actually, testerone is typically given in a gel too. There are injectables and creams. It is extremely important to follow up on the low testerone because it has a lot to do with your sex drive also. CONGRATS! This shouldn't interfere with your VSG either.

  19. Just keep it simple. focus on protein first, veggies, and some starches. You will do just fine. Make sure to get you water in. Dehydration sucks.

  21. Scary knowing we can gain it back. The challenge is on us and how we think about food. Lean proteins first then veggies starchs. We can do this and we will support each other.
  22. Switching it up does work. I've done it am it helped with moving things. Right now I'm working on water intake.

    I agree with everyone. This is your private business and all they should need is paperwork from your surgeon. Do speak to HR and ask them where they stand with HIPPA. Ask them to specify exactly what they have to have. They will.
  24. Probably need to give up the caffiene products. It could also contribute to dehydration.
