Oh Nooooo, I'm Snacking Way To Much, What To Do?
Ms skinniness replied to kdippy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks Tammy ~ You are absolutely right. I needed to hear that bc this FAD isn't working anyways. I'm going to focus from here on out on eating my proteins, veggies, and a little bit of carbs. That is really all I need to do. I have noticed that you have and continue to do a great job and will make a great spokes person for wls! Thank you so much! xoxoxoxo Dorrie -

Oh Nooooo, I'm Snacking Way To Much, What To Do?
Ms skinniness replied to kdippy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have just started to do that! So now I have been avoiding the snacks. I've told my kids to keep them in their rooms or I will throw them away! I tried to start The Basic Bootcamp diet yesturday but failed. So today I am doing the liquid diet thing. Yes, that's liquids all day long. I will have 3 Premier's and some chicken tortilla soup with no torilla's and just drink the broth! I can do this and will. I want to at least get into the 140's and stay there. My bounce is 2-3 lbs and I'm at 152.2 today, where previous I was at 150.4lbs. I will do this! -
You've just begun your journey and it's time to sit back and enjoy the ride. It's only been 7 days and you have lost 10 lbs already! That's totally amazing. You are doing fine, focus your energy on sipping your water and drinking your protein drinks. Don't get in the habit of stepping on the scale every day because every day you body weight fluctuates. This is the normal rhythum of your body. The weight will come off so there's really no need to worry. You are doing great!!

Suggestions For A Good Pre-Op(Pre-Liquid) Diet To Lose Weight Before Being Considered For Surgery?
Ms skinniness replied to Anjelika's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
I would cut portion sizes down a lot and have basically protein and veggies, try to skip the carbs if possible. This will help decrease calories as well as burning body fat. BTW< your stomach will shrink and your liver will decrease in size too. So it helps with a fatty liver. -
I use to have a butt, but now it's gone. I actually love it. It does help to work out, but I've been kinda lazy. I did start walking yesturday and today I am going to walk or go to the gym. then later I will ride my recumbant bike. yayyyyy!

I went to the BMI scale on google, looked at the weight and choose 130lbs. Then I realized that I was large boned and so I should up it to 140lbs. For some realize I am a little stubborn here. I don't want to change it. So basically, I'm still trying to lose, but if I don't I won't be devastated. I do love my skinniness!

2 Week Diet Started
Ms skinniness replied to ShannonK's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I only had to do a 1 day pre-opt diet but realized that I really didn't need to eat all the food that I was eating and had cut my portion sizes down to half. It wasn't easy, but it helped with losing some of my weight. You will be able to have Arby's if you choose later on, but in smaller portions. You will make different choices too, like taking the bread off. The protein is what I want, the bread doesn't taste that good anymore. I have passed my surgeon's goal, but my goal has not been met. But I do love my skinniness now! LOL Your thoughts are messing with you. Don't pay attention to them and switch your thinking to how much more energy you will have and how much more healthy you are going to be. Also, how much fun it will be to go shopping and have an abundance of clothes that are so darn cute, you will have a hard time choosing the cutest ones! The NSV's are great! -
That is such an honor! Your will be a great inspirational to others and you have also been an inspiration to me also. Thank You for your inspiration! Yahoooooooooooooo!

Yep, I met vitreous humor. Thank you. It's been a long, long time since studying this. lol
-
I wouldn't worry about it since they're not rushing the surgery. At least they found it and will most likely remove it surgically.
-
It could have something to do with the aqueous humor being less or perhaps more which can effect the shape of our eyeball.

You are doing great! Keep it up! -
I upped my calorie intake to above 1200 and still haven't lost anymore. My fitness pal keeps lying to me and telling me if I keep eating less than 1200 calories a day, in 5 weeks I will be down to 145 lbs! NOT! LOL

My NUT told us to drink Whey protein because it was more absorbable. I love the Premier from Costco and/or Sam's club. It's delicious. I also use the Isopure Vanilla for cooking. Delicious.

Not Losing Weight
Ms skinniness replied to PreciousCargo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink Premier Chocolate High Protein Shakes. It has 30 gms of protein and is delicious. Your doc is giving you a target in quanity. I don't know anyone who can actually get that much food in at 4 months. Don't push it, eat until you get full and I also have trouble getting in water so I buy the low calorie G2 Gatorade and dilute with H20. It helps a lot and is low calorie. You can do this and you are probably in a plateau which is totally normal for now, but it is time to switch it up. -
CONGRATS! It's such a beautiful journey!

Not Sure...
Ms skinniness replied to Look@meitsEmily's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Actually the liquid diet can be a pain but it is in reality a short period of time. It's all in changing your thoughts and eating patterns. I look at the liquid diet as a break for my stomach and liver in it's daily functioning. I chose the Sleeve because I was diabetic and scared that I would loose some vital functioning such as eye sight, losing a limb, or a diabetic coma. I know that when my blood sugar is out of control, then I have such a huge hunger that is unmanageable. I watch my husband in this vicious cycle on a daily basis. I found myself thinking before the surgery that I was doing well at losing the weight, so maybe I don't need the surgery after all. Then I caught myself and reminded myself about how often I lost weight just to put it back on plus more. Reality struck home. Even on the AM of the surgery, I had thoughts of canceling and just going to Breakfast with my hubby and son. I didn't, and I had the surgery and it was the best thing that I have ever done for myself. No more diabetes and my blood panels are all within normal range now and that's a blessing to have better health. This is worth it for me. I even recommend it to others. -

This sounds like a fabulous idea! There are so many things we wanted to do when we loose our weight. And it's really awesome when we accomplish these things too. -

It is so frustrating for me. I am still at my bounce for the past 2 weeks and am so frustrated with it. I weigh 152.2 this am and that's including the 2 lb bounce. URGGGGG! Oh well, it is what it is and today I am going back to basics. I will be doing The Basic Bootcamp diet with today and tomorrow being all liquids. Oh and I'm getting ready to go exercise at the gym. 1 more week to get to my goal weight. -
Contests we are ROCKING our sleeves in unison! Yayyyyyyy to all is sleevers!

Not Enough Weight Loss! Scary
Ms skinniness replied to simplyQuel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's so frustrating when we compare our weight loss with others. I didn't weigh myself or come on this site until 2 weeks after my surgery. I just trusted that the weight would come off. I really miss those days. K can't do it anymore. Always looking for a decrease in numbers. It's a horrible obsession I have now. . But hopefully keeps me on track. The weight will go down as well as the numbers. Congrats u are already a success in my book.
