I use to get hives when I was highly stressed. Took benadryl too and they went away! But like Lissa says, it's best to check with the surgeon first since surgery in coming up really soon.

Thoughts On Hair Loss?
Ms skinniness replied to 101driver's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was shedding hair at around 3 months post op and finally stopped shedding at 7 months post op. I was taking biotin and silica which helps with hair and nail regrowth. Man I've had hair growth in places I didn't want it too grow plus have to do some extra grooming now. LOL I love that my hair is finally growing. -

Depressed, Fatigued And Dizzy
Ms skinniness replied to frodobaggins's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It really sounds to me like you are dehydrated. I know you had an appt with your surgeon and he/she would have picked up on this, but it doesn't seem like they did. I might suggest uping your water intake with the protein intake too. It couldn't hurt. I might also drink some low calorie G2 Gatorade to help replace some of your electrolytes. All and all, this couldn't hurt any. I got dehydrated somewhat and got dizzy and almost fainted. If your dehydrated it can cause your blood to thicken and your heart rate to become low also. It is also known to cause fatigue. I'm not a doctor, but I am an advocate for hydrating ourselves. -

My thoughts and prayers are with you. You will do great! Let us know how you do. -
No problem with driving if your not taking pain meds. When you go walking, do you have a binder you can wear to give your stomach some support? that would help a 1,000 times. Keep it up.

What Are Your Best Tips For Eating Slowly?
Ms skinniness replied to AngieG0410's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was watching the Dr's Show today and they were discussing eating with our hands and how that slows us up in eating. I thought that was interesting and that is what I will be doing for now on. Eating with my hands and I am even going to play with it! That will slow me down. If it doesn't then I'll have my hubby tie my right hand behind my back! LOL -
This sounds so good. I will have to make some.

4.5 Months Out And Not Doing Well
Ms skinniness replied to fitforlife's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I know you said you don't think this is acid. If I was you, I would try taking something like prilosec, nexium, or other PPI's with your Dr's consent. I know that I wasn't told by my surgeon to take this and I was always hungry. When I finally started taking my omeprazole, my hunger went away. I also was getting my hunger triggers and my thrist triggers mixed up. Now I make sure I get in my water before eating. This is just a suggestion, you have only something to gain to try this. It pretty much sucks to be hungry all the time. I know, I was there. Best Wishes!
