I do eat out a lot in restaurants and love it. I do try and order meals that are high in protein. I ordered a salad yesterday and ate the chicken and some lettuce. I order steak dinners that are small cuts and eat the meat, skip the potato, and order veggies. So I eat part of the steak and some veggies and I'm done. If people notice then I tell them that I'm cutting back and eating healthier and smile. I don't always want the healthier meals, the fatty foods are calling my name, so I have to tell myself no, I don't need that, healthy is the way I'm choosing to eat. I have a great dialogue with myself. LOL

Should Have Measured
Ms skinniness replied to ChaChaBurch's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is excellent advice! I too was too embarrassed and just didn't want to face the inches of my body. I did not start measuring until 6 weeks out too when I had a stall. But I still don't have a full pic of how many inches I truly loss. So please take measurements when you start your journey if for nothing else, a starting point. -
Why Am I So Hungry? Freaking Out!
Ms skinniness replied to Lyra's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you taking a PPI (nexiu, prilosec, omeprazole)? I use to get ravenously hungry before I started taking these. I also take Gas X and Beano for gas. It does help. What are you eating today since you don't have any protein shakes? I know that if I don't get my protein shakes in, I can eat a lot more. -
This is very balanced! Thanks for sharing.

Going On A Liquid Boot Camp...
Ms skinniness replied to Pookeyism's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I do occasionally go back and do all liquids for at least 3 days and then just basic stuff like soups with some veggies in them. It does help me start to move things around. You have lost 90 lbs and that's absolutely fabulous! So proud of you. -

Cataracks if I'm heard that if our excess skin is causing us pain or rashes that our insurance might cover that procedure. This might be something that could help with a panni. -
Want To See How Much Loose Skin You Have? Get In The Pool!
Ms skinniness replied to Catracks's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
These are great things to consider, but overall, if there is a problem, I would just have to go to the ER and be treated. I will have to check into what my insurance company will cover. I know that if I had the sleeve in Mexico, Here I would have to go to the ER for any complications and my PCP had told me that if I went to Mexico that he could do the follow ups. But I had the surgery here bc my insurance company paid for it. This is a dilemma to thin about. -
Emotions Regarding Weight Loss
Ms skinniness commented on Jack Fabulous's blog entry in J. Fabulous' Blog
It is had when we have a chemical embalance and the meds we take affect our sexual desire. But it sounds like you really need to take the 60mg to help with the chemical embalance for awhile. It won't happen over night. It will take time. But it take time. Don't rush into getting off the antidepressants at this point in time. I miss the cheerful you and please don't listen too other's when they voice their concerns that your weight loss is too rapid. They are reacting to a fear that they have. Are you taking your supplements? Make sure your are because they are very important. Oh and by the way, I am a qualified person that can give this information. -
CONGRATS! You have made a great choice! Keep it up!

3Rd Year "sleever" Blues......
Ms skinniness replied to soontobelovely's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Those are good questions to have the information from. You can do another surgery if needed, but can gain wait ofter that procedure is done. So is there any way you can try going back to the basics and eat protein first and veggies? It would be worth a try. Also, look into what emotional eating is and work on catching yourself when your eating from emotions and not real hunger. Maybe getting into counseling could help you identify and stop the triggers to eating when emotional. -
