when i would travel, I would order soups at restaurants, pudding, yogurts, anything thak would be soothing. My stomach really preferred soups though. It also helped with fighting dehydrations.

Are you taking any kind of a PPI? Like nexium, tagamet, omeprazole. After my surgery I was always hungry too. Then I was reading on this site that gas pains and stomach acid can mimic hunger. Oh, and thrist also mimics hunger too. So I started taking my omeprazole again and low and behold, my hunger pretty much subsided. Yay! If your not already taking a PPI, it's a really great idea to check with your surgeon and to start taking one with his/her approval. It really does help.

Psychological Issues
Ms skinniness replied to Sansa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is something that I find that's changed about me. I look in the mirror now and am thinking, "OMG, I love this picture!" I do want to look great and feel great about how I look. I am 56 years old and learning to love myself for who I am. Please stay with the thought of being pleased with ourselves. If we can't,then who can. This is learning to love ourselves and seeing things differently. I love how your open and willing to share on this site. Keep it up! -
Really Starting To Get Depressed....
Ms skinniness replied to M_Johnson's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I remember the stalls I had and I would totally get frustrated and depressed. I had to get away from the scale because it was driving me absolutely crazy! It was amazing to see the inches melt away when I was in a stall and I loved it, except I had to spend money for new clothes. But today, I have very few cloths and am determined to not settle for what will fit and only, I mean only, buy the clothes I absolutely fall in love with. YayyyyyyyY! You guys will have several stalls but will be losing inches. Ditch the stupid scale and live day by day enjoying every NSV that is coming your way. I love my sleeve but sometimes, on certain days, I do want to eat more. So I constantly will have to be on top of my head hunger and drink lots of water first. We can do this! -
Here's My Story. Can I Get The Sleeve?
Ms skinniness replied to Sara Kelly Keenan LC's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Talking from the perspective of a therapist, I would advise that you get some counseling to help with your triggers to cheat on your diet. Our thoughts lie to us and we are our own worst enemy in which I present as evidence you case with the lap-band. This might be a good time to get started on eating healthy by eating a high protein low carb diet to get started. Make this habit along with seeing a therapist for food related issues. We all experience a lot of head hunger but you need different coping skills to deal with these issues. We all have a food addiction that sabotages our efforts at changing our diets and exercising. -

Today I weigh 146.6 lbs. So, I've made my 4th of July challenge. I know that I may bounce up some but I'm going to take this loss and run with it. I'm totally excited! Now to get a plan for maintenance. That's the scary part. I will have to switch my obsession to exercise now and not weight loss. I can do this.

Clear Liquid Diet f**king Sucks
Ms skinniness replied to njsleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My docs orders were to stay on a liquid diet for 3 weeks which included some protein drinks. Then it's a pureed stage for 3 weeks, Then mushy stage and finally regular food. The time went by pretty fast. I did have some yogurt in my 3rd week. This will pass and you will be very happy with the weight your dropping. Hang in there is gets a lot better really soon. I promise. -
