There was a posting on here about chia seeds. That when you eat them, they swell up and make you feel full all day. I didn't try them bc I believe with the little we eat already, my body will let go of the weight with time.

Ms skinniness replied to robbie_rotten's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Alcohol is a depressant and could be contributing to your lack of energy. Maybe increase protein intake and stop drinking alcohol to see how your energy level. -

Hungry 2Hrs After I Eat....
Ms skinniness replied to Mskandi80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You might try taking something for acid. I take omeprazole and the helps with not feeling hungry. I also increase my water intake too. Sometimes I confuse thrist for hunger. Just food for thought. -
Hi Nicky I like your post and didn't take offense at it. I think your doing a great job for with your weight loss. Everyone here is struggling with their food issues and addictions to food. I am 10 months post op and struggle with sugar addiction. I am also diabetic with blood sugars under control at this moment but know I can't do moderation. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you don't mind, but I added you as a friend. XOXO!

How Much Did Your Taste Buds Change After Vsg?
Ms skinniness replied to sleevemeup's topic in Food and Nutrition
My tastes stayed the same after surgery. The only thing that happens is when my body goes into ketosis, I get a metal taste in my mouth and my thinking gets clouded. No biggie. -
What Were You Doing On This Day 11 Years Ago?
Ms skinniness replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in The Lounge
I was standing in my front room seeing the news coverage play over and over the plane flying into the building. That alone causes PTSD in anyone who repeatedly viewed. So sad. I also remember getting a new client that day that was Iranian and no one wanted him because they were scared. I took him and he was the most awesome client I could have had. -
What Is Going On?!
Ms skinniness replied to Heather Souders's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It shouldn't get stuck, I took it with water and had no difficulties. So thankful. It's the bigger capsules or tablets that I avoided. -
Did/does Anyone Else Feel This Way?
Ms skinniness replied to DanaInNewOrleans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, you must be exhausted from waking up. Don't let your thoughts get going. Tell them to be quiet and think positive thoughts like: I'm going to be one hot skinny B**** and eat healthier and have a longer life to play with kids, pets, and grand children. Those thought are your fears coming up and are trying to sabotage you. Don't let them begin. I know it's not easy, but you can catch them in the beginning and change them. You got this girl! -
3.5 Months Out - Bleeding
Ms skinniness replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would go in a see you doc. There might be a bleed from your surgery that needs to be addressed. Better safe than sorry. -
I know that I need to follow my surgeon's and NUT recommendations and i do. When I have tried ice cream, cheetos, and chocolates, I can't stop with just a few, I want it everyday. Every time I see a flamin hot cheeto, I eat it, even tough I know it will bother my stomach. That's my addiction and therefore, I have to keep them out of my house and sight. I can't do moderation, if it's a slider, I know it and will endulge. So I just want to eat to live and that's it. I focus on organic because what ever is going in my body, needs to be clean, after all, I can only eat less than a child's portion. Yes, this is my choice. Plus, my grocery bills are decreasing every day bc I have my family eating this way too.

What Is Going On?!
Ms skinniness replied to Heather Souders's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is totally normal. I have had no issues with any thing I've eaten. I did get hungry for awhile and then started taking a PPI (omeprazole, pepcid, prilosec, etc) and that took care of acid which had mimicked hunger. Keep up the good work and you are very normal. -
9 Months - Down 112# And A Nsv
Ms skinniness replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I love your NSV! I go walking and marvel at how easy I can walk with no effort, especially in the heat we have. heck, I went for 2 walks yesterday... I did get sleep though. CONGRATS! -
I have an addiction for sugar and diet coke or diet pepsi. I know that when ever I go back to eating something with sugar, I keep craving more of it. I believe that I began this journey to make changes in my diet. I'm working on choosing organic foods with no more than 5 other ingredients in them. I know that I have tried doing moderation and I still try to sneak something in now and then to find out that I start craving more of it. So my demon (sugar) is torturous to me. I have tried many diets and my negative self talk can talk me into anything. I am my worst enemy and have gained back numerous times.

I believe Benjamin on that aspect also. My grandfather always ate fat and he was so darn skinny! He barely ate sweets.

As long as your sticking with protein first, veggies and then maybe a little starches, you will do just fine. In fact I love what Benjamin said. I have the tendency to eat when I have some head hunger and I'm working on that. I'm increasing my exercise right now and I know I need more than 900 calories to replenish my energy. I have been eating 1200 to 1500 calories and am building muscle right now. I am at goal and really need to just tone up now. So I have to watch my thoughts that tell me "I can have this because I'm at goal," and rekindling those old negative eating habits. I have to watch my sugars because they are so addicting for me. So I try to avoid sugars. Keep up the hard work everyone.

Help! Complications Could Cause Me To Have Bypass!
Ms skinniness replied to TiredOfChubRub's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I had dehydration, my stomach was swelled also. This is a good time to go get an IV for hydration and see how that affects your stomach. Just food for thought, I am not a medical doc. -
Whats On Your Bucket List?
Ms skinniness replied to SkinnyMinnie2Be's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love everyone's bucket list! I seem to be content at where I am and focusing on 1 day at a time. I am so looking forward to seeing my grandchildren at the end of October. -

Help! Complications Could Cause Me To Have Bypass!
Ms skinniness replied to TiredOfChubRub's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We all have opinions here, but the only one that matters is your doc's and yours. Talk with you doc about doing a dilation first and see if it clears up and then go from there. What does your body tell you? Listen to your inner wisdom and see what comes up. That may help some. Best wishes..... -
Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms skinniness replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Coops: I believe that sugars are a big down fall for me. It doesn't take much for me to add a few ozs when I do have something with sugar in there. but true. I really can't get too much in my stomach anyways, thank goodness. You look "HOT" and that is the biggest bonus out of all of this so far. The extra lbs will drop when you least expect it. I'm just going to work on eating healthy, no added sugars and eating small portions and just enjoy my body as it is today. I do have a "tire" in my midsection that the only way it's going to leave me is by a tt. LOL I just want to settle. -
I Cannot Get Myself To Drink Protien Anymore, Is This Harmful... 6 Weeks Out
Ms skinniness replied to Trici's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
A problem with not getting your protein in is muscle loss and hair loss. Your body will start to metabolize muscle for fuel when glycogen is used up. Your cells will not replenish themselves and would most likely resort in malnutrition. I am 11 months out and still drink 1 protein drink a day. I love the Premier from Costco or Sam's club. It tastes like a milk shake and has very little carbs. -

I am really tired of the way my scale bounces up and then down. I never know what my weight is. I work hard at not eating sugars but do occasionally. And I don't like myself when I do things like that. My problem is, I can't get past 146 lbs. Then the next day I'm back up to 168 lbs. Seldom do I go back down to 146 lbs. Meg: you have done a great job bouncing the excess lbs off. CONGRATS! Such a great feeling. Feedyoureye: You have done fantastic, I like how you get back on track when you need too! CONGRATS! It's just being aware of where we are and what we need to do to get back on track. Coops: Miss you I know that you will get your weight off really soon. everyone of us are awesome!
