Do you want it to work? It's totally up to you! It will take work, and it will work if you work it. That means following directions from your surgeons, working on issues pertaining to head hunger, and your be alive! Yep alive! Oh and btw, healthier too! You will get skinny and strut yourself! Can you see yourself? I can! You can do this if you chose.......This is the best thing that I have ever done for myself.

    When The Dream Ends...

Hey, this sounds more like a good bye letter and that scares me! This is not the end to your journey. If your feeling like there's no hope, then I'm going to tell you your wrong! You hit a bump in the road. The surgery might not be this year, it can be down the road in the near future. This would be a good time to seek some help to help you over the bump. There are ways to do things differently. Please hear me.

    Unhappy.....

I agree with Lissa, this is the best time to seek a therapist to work on body image issues. Look in the mirror and look at your body. Isn't it looking good? Yeah it sucks to have an A cup, but that's ok. You are looking better every day. Start adding butt lifts to build muscle in your gluteus maximus.

I Hate How People Label Us Wls Patients

People like that are so stupid! I'd report them to the supervisor and pat myself on the back. Time for some education for these B******! Take a look in the mirror ASAP and notice how beautiful you are! Yes you! This is hard work, and it's better than dying from obesity and health complications. Those people are not worth any of your time! You have to strut yourself and rock that sleeve of yours! You are a success. It's going to take all your energy to focus on a beautiful life ahead of you.

    Am I Doing This Right?

You are doing great! I do have a suggestion for you though. Please put the scale away, hide it in the closest if you must! It is only going to cause you stress. It is very inconsistent. If you haven't measured yourself yet, this would be a good time to do it. That is going to be the best tool for measuring your weight loss. Believe me, your stomach is 85% smaller. You will feel it when you start eating softer and regular foods later on out. CONGRATS!

    Problem

This is a time to take full advantage of your sleeve and try to follow your surgeon's and NUT diet to a T for maximum weight loss. You are only 10 days out and your stomach is still swollen. This is the time to go easy and baby your stomach. Drink some protein drink if you can't resist. At 10 days I was allowed to have sf pudding, yogurt, sf jello, and soups. This helped me lose weight faster and i am very thankful I followed this plan.
  12. Now this is absolutely fabulous! Good job and happy your b/s is normal now! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Keep it up and I look forward to seeing more process in the near future.

    The Shakes

I am totally confused by this. Now, isn't sushi fish? Or was it wrapped with rice? I know that a french fry is a carb. To me, hypoglycemia is when you have really low blood sugar. When I eat I sometimes have sxs listed above when eating very little to no carbs. This freaks me out. Thank you for this info. I think I have to have a more balanced diet and add a few extra carbs to my diet to avoid these sxs.

    Back On Track Thread

This weekend I have watched myself get out of control. I am just over 1 year post op and look great. Not down to where my mind thinks I want to be but looking really good and feeling good. I really need to work on my mindset. I know that if there's something that is sweet sitting on the counter, I will eat it, even if I'm not hungry. I have asked my hubby to not buy this stuff because I'm the one that ends up eating it, and yet he still did, and I have trouble telling him no, to buying sugar free cookies. So now I need to work on my mind and stopping thinking about food when I'm not hungry. This is such a struggle for me. It would probably be easier to have surgery on my brain. LOL Anyways, I am freaked out when I read something about our ghrelin hormone coming back and causing us hunger. Need to research this. Thanks for listening, tomorrow I will be on protein drinks to get back to basics. Oh I am a terrible stress eater.

    Water

I hope you really don't believe that you can live on less fluids. This is really dangerous territory. This is a great time to increase your water intake. Try putting some flavor in it and when you get hungry drink some water because your hunger could actually be mimicking your thrist. Trust eating more and then your body has to work double hard to get all the moisture out of your food. Please start increasing your fluid intake to prevent any kind of dehydration. Also dehydration also can cause kidney damage and your blood thickens and can cause strokes. So Please Drink a lot of fluids. You can change this!
  20. I just received a message from my PCP at Kaiser and he's referred me to a surgeon to remove my gallbladder. I'm confused because I have no pain or sxs. They did an ultra sound and I guess they found some. I'm wondering if there's other treatments that will prevent gallstones or dissolve them?

    Problems With Gallstones

Thank you everyone. For some reason I'm more afraid about having this surgery than I was about getting sleeved. That means I will have an additional 5 go 6 incision cites. Wow, what is my stomach going to look like, "a shooting range?" LOL
