It's so hard not to cuddle. My son was just 2 years old when I got banded. The main thing with we was not to pick him up cause you use your stomach muscles. As soon as I got home he was hugging me. It was about 3 weeks when I started picking him up and that was probably too soon.

I too know a girl who does the spray-in-the-booth. She looks awesome! She says it last for weeks. That's my vote. AYE!!!

Cindy I could not do birth control pills. I would be crying for no reason, and wanting to drive into a brick wall and even gained weight while on them. Hormones are tricking to adjust to. My doc would ask me to give it some time but I refused. There are other forms of birth control. The new IUD would be something I would consider if my tubes weren't cut. Hang in there.

Oh Boy. This is strange, I can guzzle in the mornings and about an hour after meals exept after lunch. It's hard to get in all the water so in the morning its chug-a-lug. Even this morning I could not get much breakfast down, then started back on water an hour later. In the mornings I feel so restricted and at dinner too. I think its all the salad I eat for lunch(with Garbonzos, pickled beets, celantro, spinach,cheese-modifed fat LOL) Its my form of fiber as well. I can pack down a lunch now. I dare not sip with meals.... I have learned not to eat within 2 hours of sleeping, or eles burps all night. This tool talks to me.

Sorry it took me so long to respond, lots of people at the house this weekend. Anyway, I remember the day after my surgery I told Dr. Sanchez that I can feel my port, he's like no way its way to soon and kept insisting I couldn't that it was just some swelling. That was the last time I saw the sweet doc. So back in the states first fill was done under floro, before I was even poked Dr. Lim noted a tilt, but when I laid flat it went flat, not a problem. With weight loss I noticed it more, I haven't seen it as a problem. Didn't have any one to compare to. The other 2 blind fills were a breeze. Dr. McKeen just put a finger at the top and his thumb on the bottom of the port and with the first hit he was in my port. The one thing Dr. Sanchez said was (and we discussed this prior to surgery) that he chose the AMI swedish band for me because of the excess fat around my stomach and internal organs and that my fat was not next to my skin as much. Mine does not bother me though, good luck. I just remembered your going to see Dr. Billy on friday, let me know what he says.

Thats exactly where my port is. Mine does'nt sick out quite that much but does look simular. It seem like my port is tilted down a bit. But when I lie down it go's flat. Had no problem with fills. Do keep us posted.

We went camping 2 weeks ago, the first time in years without an RV (since we live on a lake we decided to sell it). Well with 2 kids in a small tent all the cushions couldn't keep me comfy. Was up every 20 min. turning hip to hip. Have fun camping. I'll miss you. When the old man drives he passes the offramp then says "why aren't you being a backseat driver" Roy All this info is good. food choices are important, you'll get it down and the weight will start dropping. Like others said if your able to eat alot and getting hungry to soon after meals, (hopefully your not PBing) you need an adjustment.

I'm laughing so hard reading all the posts, picturing that look we all have when something gets stuck and our spouses/friends saying "Are you OK ?" Loving all the stories, scraping pizza, picking at our food. Meals have become such ritual for me. First the tea then maybe some soup, chew chew wait, pick apart leaving pasta, breads and rice behind. People eating with me often ask "what are you doing?" cause everything is separated on my plate. They're all done (amazing how fast they can eat) and I'm begging them not to leave the table yet. When we go out to eat I'm always suggesting we share so I can taste all there foods and I can't finish my plate anyway. I remember reading "before banding no one was allowed to touch my plate" that was me.....

This is a lifelong struggle, and we will find inspiration to continue on every where, if we are open to it. Your words of wisdom are like gold to me.
