It's my one year bandiverary on the 14th and I know I need a fill. Besides being on a plateau I've been eating all sort of things I couldn't a month ago (maybe I could have then but I'm trying now) Restriction is minimal. So I'm looking at getting a fill late August. Band Type: AMI (J&J) SAGB 3 Fills, I should be at 5.7cc's, Last Fill was in last January. Preband Now weight 244 180 size 18/20 12/14 Exercise, Does chasing kids count? I do walk allot and occasionally ride the lifecycle. Pics soon to come, I'll be on Vacation for a while . Congratulation to the August babies

It's true.....A little boom-boom takes my headaches away. Lisa, your life is so colorful. Your always painting pictures in my head.

Alexandra, It is so nice to have your families support and especially a father figure. I miss my parents very much, but more so my sister Alex, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36 (I was 28). I believe she would have been proud of my decision to be banded as well as my progress. Your pics of you and your family are awesome!! I'm proud of you too. This board is my extended family.

You Know Darcy, Your pancreas is located in the middle right above the belly bottom and I have heard of gallbladder attaches in the same area. I believe they share the same ducts to the liver. You should see a doctor. I have to agree with Lisa.

Lisa, The Guys I work with are nuts over your 2005 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide. Apparently Chris picked out one hell of a bike. Too bad it has to cost so much.... You do look hot!

I think this is a congratulation.?? Don't let it happen again. Ya right. I like what Shelly Wrote...If I could find it to quote...something like=I don't eat certain things cause I'm afraid of a BP. My first major BP was garlic noodles with lots of parmesan. Coughed up a perfect golf ball. I don't do pasta or bread much. Yes, it hurts.

I was just like Marie to the tee. My first real food was clam chowder at about 3 weeks. After 3 bites I got the hiccups sooo loud, it was pretty funny. I thought I had done something wrong. Hiccups, gurgles and burps are normal.

So Happy for you! Congratulations:banana

Hi Rica I Have an AMI swedish band also made by J&J I believe it is the same type you have. My first fill was done under flouro and was set at 1.75cc's and I believe I could have had more at that time. My second fill (blind) was 6 weeks later, which put me to 3.7cc's. I might have to agree that you may be able to handle 3ccs. Please be carefull. My third and last fill in January put be to 5.7 and I'm having a pretty smooth Summer. I still can't eat what I use to pre-band but I could be tighter. Good Luck and Congratulations
-
I Agree with Alexandra!!! I have an AMI swedish band, which I'm very happy with but after- care and fills are an issue with a NON-Inamed band. Call around now to find a after-care doctor in your area, unless you plan on visiting MX. alot. The pro with my band type, and this is my opinion, is that I can have larger fills(taller band)which can be easier to adjust. So not to feel too tight. Meaning there are some banded folks that claim as little as 0.2 cc's puts them over the edge/too tight. Best of luck.
