I just love all the ideas on this thread. The fact that this thread started weeks ago and I’m just seeing it tells you how busy I’ve been. Its birthday season around here, I just had a dozie of a party for Hunter, now 5. About 2 months ago we were at a kids party where the parents bought a jump house, they claimed it paid for it’s self with years of entertaining. So e-bay shopping I went and picked up a house slide combo. Well of course as soon as it arrived mom had to try it out. What fun! It takes about 10 minutes to set up and I only bring it out on weekends. We live on a lake and own a boat. This has been a challenge to Hunter because he’s not fond of the Water but will get on the tube, meanwhile Roxanne (8) is now knee-boarding and tomorrow friends with kids are flying in from Chicago and they want to ski and wake-board, so I think Roxanne will try skiing. I do work 4 days a week and they are in summer camp most of the time, but when the weekends come by, we just don’t have an enough time. I’ve also got my kids cooking, little things like cheese and cracker stacks, fruit plates, pizza and finger sandwiches. When they make it, they tend to eat it. Now if I could just keep the house clean and the toys off the floor… Happy Summer!

Shelly, You and Calvin are gorgeous and your back yard is a beautiful setting…years down the road you’ll be looking at the mound telling your kids all the details. Thanks for sharing the pics, I LOVE the last one. I remember your little mom, she looks so happy. The best to you both!

So Glad to hear your home. Everytime I've gone to Monterrey (guest house) is was like a jello party and I've never kissed so many people like I do down there, the staff is so loveing. Alma is a kick in the pants and Dr. Suzanna would always baby me. Sherri you have the cutest voice, hope I didn't freak you out when I called, I was thinking about you girls.:clap2: Keep up the water and protien drinks. Walk walk walk!

Penni Ive been thinking about you lately. I know you will look at every issue involved. I'm reminded of Sue and how she said the band didn't work for her so she went with plan B, well she may have issues but she is loosing. I'm glad you trust Dr. Billy I do too, he's got an excelent reputation! You've got my prayers!

Hello everyone down in Monterrey! I was thinking about Amy yesterday that she might be there, so I called the guesthouse but didn’t know the room number of course. Then the operator came on speaking spanish and we didn’t communicate, so I hung up. It’s about 9am Calif time, Your either out of surgery, or just about in….sending healing vibes and prayers for everyone. You’re in good hands with Dr. Sanchez! Say Hi to Alma and Dr. Suesanna. On the Liver issue…last time I was in Monterrey Alma took me out on the town and we did a lot of talking. One of the questions I had for her was about big livers. Her response was that Dr. Sanchez will place another torpal (laparoscopic tool don’t know exactly what their called) to hold the liver out of the way. Dr. Sanchez is an excellent doctor please do not bash him.

Hope you had a great day Darcy! In your pic, you look 29!

Experienced Bandsters, what are your tricks of the trade?
Vera replied to ChicagoCoco's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have a small soup(broth) or a cup of tea before most meals, do Protein next, which is tuna, chicken, egg salad or thin sliced meats and cheeses. In the winter it's vegis next but now it's been alot of fruit. Most of the time it's about 5 bites of both and i'm full. The warm liquids before the meal helps the pouch feel ready for food, otherwise I feel every bite. -
Omg!!! I Never Thought I Would Make It! Update On Me!

My old band was an AMI-swedish band that was installed 8/14/03 by Dr. Sanchez. After about 6 months and 4 fills I had a flouro/X-ray check which revealed a kink in the tubing. Well I suspected a leak, then confirmed it over 4 months later in mex, cause Dr. Sanchez recomended I go see him. At that visit the tubing was repaired and I was given a 7cc fill (big band), a month later my doctor (McKeen) here in Calif. did a flouro fill and that's when we saw that the repair didn't work. Back to mex I went and Dr. Sanchez decided to reband me, free (the makers of the AMI band is paying for it). I was rebanded with the 9.75 (smaller) Inamed band, big difference. I felt restriction right away. I couldn't gulp anymore either. I'm very happy with my new band. I've only had one fill in 8/05 of 1.3cc's and still feel restriction. I'm 3lbs. from goal. I adore Dr. Sanchez and his staff. When my band was leaking and I was crying on the phone to him and he alway told me he'd take care of me and he did. Being that I live in California, I could have easily went to TJ and had Ortiz or Kuri band me. Dr. Sanchez is one of the best!
