Ditto what Marie said. Electrolytes were not recomended for this surgery as much as water was, but in previous unrelated band surgeries Electrolytes were demanded. For my colon removal, Electrolytes for 3 months 2 quarts a day. I'm having a propel right now.

I’m an Antenna Test Engineer in what is know as the Silicon Valley. I’ve lived in the Bay Area just about all my life. Job duties consist of testing antennas for satellite, submarines, ships, airplanes; missiles….and some land based applications. Most of the antennas are used for defense and surveillance. I’ve been doing this for about 20 years. Now that I have kids I so long to be at home but do enjoy the work I do, plus we need the money! As things happen for a reason, my daycare is retiring next month. My 4 year old is starting pre-school next fall, and I’ll be going on part-time so when the kids get out of school…I’ll be home!!! So yes I’ve got computers all around me at work and seldom touch one at home.

You've got me thinking Here's a question for the doc...Tubing length? With my new band, my doctor gave me an extra service loop of tubing, with my old band the port connection-tubing came out toward the center then up to the stomach, the kink that formed was at the angle that started up to the stomach. My concern would be where the tubing ran. Also how secure the port would be, prevent flipping over......below the belly button seems like a long way from the stomach.

Thanks Christina, You did your homework! Sounds like a great plan and a good price. Congratulations

I'm very happy for you. Which doctor did you decide on?

I would say those prices on http://litenfree.com/Plastic.aspx are higher than those Iv'e heard of and witnessed while in Monterrey Mexico....I've yet to have PS, but am looking into it.

Hello Lynn and Welcome to LBT Your explaination of PCOS is very informative and I have a better understanding of it. I never knew it was so closly related to the pancreas producing insulin. I just thought it was a hormonal inbalance. Good Luck with all your pre-op tests.

So glad they found the problem. It should be a quick in and out procedure.

Best of luck to you! It's a sellers market right now. It is amazing here in Calif. I bought my house for 629K in 12/2000 and now it's worth 870K. My daycare just anounced she quiting and moving. She's getting a bundle for her house and retireing. As things happen for a reason, I'll be going part time starting in Aug. I've been wanting to go on part time for so long. Now It's finally happening!!!

I am so sad, the only comfort I have is that these girls are in Heaven. Dear Jesus, hold your hand over these families in there time of sorrow. My Roxanne is their age, I could'nt imagine loseing her or my son.

The VG "Vanguard" band is recomended for larger BMI's. Before I was re-banded I was concerned with which band I wanted. I thought because the VG was the lastest and greatest that that's what I wanted. Then I spoke with Don Mills of Inamed who informed me about the larger BMI issues and needing more fills to achieve restriction levels.Linda, Welcome to LBT and investigate the best doctor for yourself. I've know Dr. McKeen for 2 years, he works well with his patients, listens and does not have a standard fill amount rate or waiting period. He knows every person is different and wants the band to work with you!

It is a muscle! I have a very hard time with meats. I wont touch pork and all other meats have to have ketcup, mayo or dressing on them or they won't go down either.
