Heather, Please don't just drink water. You need energy, vits and protien. Liquid diets can shed pounds but be careful.

Did she let you "fill" it up? I was watching Dr. McKeen fill and un-fill a band...way cool to see it work!

Sorry to hear of your grandfathers death. One thing I learned after the death of my X's grandmother . Trust accounts have a trustee in charge of making sure distributions and taxes are paid per the will's demands. If the trustee violates any of their duties, any beneficiary may sue the trustee. That includes children of the beneficiary. Example if a distribution is to be made when a beneficiary reaches a certain age but is made sooner and that person dies, the child of the beneficiary can sue the trustee for breech of duties. Trustees can also collect a fee, even banks can be named trustees. I'm from California so probate laws may be different? I am the first to tell people who are fearing a parent's death, to get their names on all of the parent's accounts, it hurt's but it's smart.

I just LOVE summer! It just started getting hot about 3 weeks ago here by the bay area in Calif, but today we have sprinkles at about 70* for the high. I'm with you Alexandra...not sweating and panting like I use to, even in the winter I use to sweat. This last winter I was freezing. Enjoy the summer....school's out!

I can relate, it's the worst pain, but wash it down with pepsi...owe...that's like slow death. I'm sure you'll never do that again. Everything I put in my mouth...I think about it first, cause I've learned the hard way.

My doctor cancelled my fill and I'm bummed
Vera replied to BeckyinTexas's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
WOW 41.5 lbs since 4/29. I was rebanded on 3/31 and have only lost 11 lbs. I don't plan on having a fill for a long time. I can barly get 3 bites of chicken in before I get the hicups (my sign to stop). For me it's a matter of more excersizing...hey we're loosing!!! I can understand getting the fill process and seeing how it's done, especialy under fluoroscopy. Wishing you luck and patients -
So proud of you too! Yesterday when I first read this post it had me pissed off. I went off thinking about issues like insecurities, who paid for the band, fears of you leaving him...then today I'm reading all the wonderful posts of knowledge. The main thing my soul mate said when I got the band is "This is for your Health!" Please keep smiling! I love all the phrases on the thread...What's an electric dog polisher? If I took tools away from my man he'd die...

Can the catheter getting tangled inside?
Vera replied to Bandster Brad's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
OK Brad I thought the same as the others...it's TUBING. While having a fluoroscopy check of my band the radiologist had me moving all different directions and I could see my tubing moving with my body as well. Very interesting indeed cause I pointed that out to the doc, he laughed and said the tubing has to flex with your body. In my case he gave an extra service loop near the port. I'd guess my tubing was about 9 inches from the looks of it. As far as pain while bending over, If I'd had just drank of eaten anything recently and bend over, I get an odd pain/discomfort in my chest. Even if I lie down shortly after drinking or eating I have issues... -
Too cool!! saw the 2nd link. What's with all the bubbles? Thanks

LivinNY, I just posted this on another tread. You'll be able to see the contrast leaking out, where as saline you can not see at all under fluoro.
