Sound like the tubing disconected from the band and the band is deflatting?? I've been re-banded due to a faulty tube that kinked and produced a hole in the kink. Once I knew I had a problem I wanted the problem solved, even if it ment re-banding. It's good to know your doctor is not charging you. Crap happens I'm proud of you being able to loose and diet with a problem tube/band. Cheers and Hugs to you Ruth

Thanks Sweety The fisrt person I thought of was you cause I knew you took it. What was explained to me was...there's 3 types of anti-depres. Paxil is in the same family of Prozac, Zolof and Exolex?(spel), Paxil will help with sleeping. This is a trial. I also am having my Hormone levels checked, my shrink thinks I'm in pre/mentopause... I can't remember, I don't want people over, I don't want to do about anything, I wake up at 2 and can't get back to sleep till 4 then I've got to get up and I don't what to, plus I cry for no reason. If there's something wrong with me that can be helped with meds, I'm willing to try. I do believe there may be some hormonal thing going on as well, so I'm waiting on test results. Thanks for caring! Checking this out... 1-16-06 Had some blood work done today, checking hormone, colestrol, tyroid...I told the doc about my visit with the shrink, he suggested Paxil. Tonight I'll start the stuff and see how it go's Vera

Here's Carol's famous Las Vegas Crab Dip! Carol’s Crab Dip Recipe 1 lb of cleaned and cracked crab meat (I buy it at a fish market) 1 block of cream cheese (room temperature) 4-6 stalks of celery (chopped fine) 6-8 stalks of green onion (sliced very fine) 1 cup mayonnaise 6-8 shakes of Tabasco 1 pkg Gelatin 1 tbsp Water 1 can cream of mushroom soup garlic powder to taste (optional) Heat can of mushroom soup just till boiling. Remove from heat and add gelatin (already mixed with 1 tbsp water). Cool slightly. In a mixer beat cream cheese and mayonnaise together. Add all other ingredients except crab. Mix in soup mix and then add crab. Put in mold or container. Should cool overnight or at least most of the day. Serve with crackers (triscuit or wheat thins are best) or with sliced baguette. (or for bandsters plain with a fork is great).

Hi JD It was over a year ago when I went for a fill under fluoroscopy and saw a kink about 3 inches from the port where the tube is to curve up. At that time I had a small fill because the doctor didn’t want to over fill me. When he would try to pull the saline back into the syringe, the plunger would not pull back easily as it should and the fill would not come back out. So I called Dr. Sanchez and he had me return to Mexico to investigate. Dr. Sanchez found a very small hole in the fold of the kink. The tubing was repaired with a sleeve, which didn’t work, and eventually I was rebanded. Now I’m not saying you need to be re-banded. If your tubing doesn’t fix itself a new tube can be replaced. With my circumstance I had a faulty AMI (Swedish band) and now I have the Inamed band.

Rachele, I have a ton of Titanium staples in my rectum from my colon removal back in 2000 (no I don't wear a bag) unless they all fell out, which they said would happen over time. So that's not a problem for me, but I'm not aware of these seams being stapled?? Basically, it is an improvement over prior gastroplasty procedures, which are rarely done due to problems related to the placement of staples, silastic rings and mesh around the stomach pouch. In addition to avoiding foreign bodies, the other advantage over the older procedures is that the excess stomach volume is removed, not left in place. This possibly eliminates most Ghrelin hormone production and helps to reduce the sensation of hunger that people have. Thanks for this info. Karen I've got the research bug going. Lisa, I would be devestated if I lost my band. You know I feel for you. I wouldn't be able to cope watching the weight come back and I know I'm weak. All the money we dish out keeps me in check.
