What does he like to do that could get you outside enjoying the day? Maybe an evening at an outdoor theatre or concert at the beach? Spend a it on some good cheese and chocolate and wine? or an evening at a vineyard? Hmmm...google groupon and see what they are offering locally - I get mad discounts for sooo much stuff! I just bought two day passes for paintball for 60$ - and two mine-and paint- classes for 65$

Weight Loss Shots
Pookeyism replied to bethany1987's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a B complex every 3 months, and it contains some extras but I think they are more for Iron, Vit. D absorption (aided by sunlight) and such...It isn't a weight loss shot. Lipotropic protiens help break down fat I think...but not sure if injecting them helps. Curious to see what answers you get. -

Pookeyism replied to tumblersmom's topic in Insurance & Financing
That is awesome! Think of how much money you saved!!! -
Do what you know you can, and give it a few days. Don't push it to the point of doing too much...maybe a timer would help?

I was riding my bike very shortly after my surgery. The only thing I can caution about is to really take into account what a serious spill could do to your tummy.

I'm Married! Best Nsv Of My Life...
Pookeyism replied to nowatgoal's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I married my Hubby almost 10 years ago. I had met him at a size 16 or so, and was almost a size 30 when we married. He never gave up, always loved me... I remember wishing I could be a size 16 again when we were celebrating our Honeymoon. I will be at most a size 16 when our anniversary rolls around this year It is a very good moment when we realize we can be what we wanted to be for our loved ones. Yayyy for you!!!! -
Please Help I Don't Know What I'm Doing Wrong!
Pookeyism replied to Sonoradgrl63's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Go to MyFitnessPal and sign up - I suggest you do, anyway. Keep track of everything you eat, and make sure you understand te size of your portions. Make sure you are getting in a Multivitamin everyday. get in your fluids! The point of keeping track of your calories is to be sure you are getting ENOUGH. Different than we are used to. Aim for at least 800, in my opinion. And be patient... I have said it before but go buy a tight fitting tshirt so you can "feel" it getting lose over the next several weeks. Many lose inches while stallin gon the lbs! -

Hungry After Working Out! (What Do I Eat?)
Pookeyism replied to favoredone's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Try drinking some juice too - real juice, like orange or grape - just 2-3 oz is plenty. You may need to restore some minerals and such. -
Rushed To Emergency With A Bowel Blockage! Need Advise From Other Sleeve Patients!
Pookeyism replied to PJ713's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If the hospital did nothing, and your doc diagnosed you witout seeing you also, you may need to go get a second opinion - just dont wait till you have to go to the ER, and incur a ridiculous bill. Go to a regular doctor, ask for a white blood cell count, and xray. You need to be sure it is a blockage due to foods and not a twist or impaction that is showing serious problems. -
What I Really Want To Know About A Tummy Tuck
Pookeyism replied to crosswind's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I will be doing it, some sooner than the rest - but I eventually plan to have all the saggy sking tightened - and most importantly the skin folds and such removed. I am considering a "first wave" that would remove the apron and extra around the bra line, so I can exercize better. I don't want to be an old woman trying to maintain my (ugh) apron. I look at it as a little bit of vanity maybe, but a whole lot of extra, potentially sweaty - LOUD (lol) skin - get it gone, gone gone!!!! -
Finally Found Good Flavored Protein
Pookeyism replied to urbandecayno5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Give Mootopia a try. it is a supplemented milk. half sugars, lactiose free and 12 g protien for 8 oz...add that to unjury unflavored and it is great, and 32 g protien. -
Totally Struggling
Pookeyism replied to Sleeve & Lean's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I would avoid 3-4 oz at a time for awhile...you can slowly irritate your tummy and start feeling it later. There are alot of protien drinks that are not chalky...give several kinds a try. Lean shake (I think its called that) has a truly awesome strawberry and you can get it out of the cooler in pre-mixed bottles at GMC. -
Dont forget to love your skin! Long milkbaths and glycerin and compression garments to help "hold it all in place" wil help too.
