    Sleeping Is So Different

Do you have any specific symptoms of uncomfortableness? Reflux, etc??? I actually slept better the first week ( I usually got between2-3 1/2 hours sleep for years and years). The next few weeks I slept like the dead - or for me it was, at least 6-7 hours and small naps...but I was having complications and I was exhausted. I hope it clears up. it is bad enough when you are used to it - it you ever really get used to it.
  3. I am crying for you also...you are blessed.

    My Husband... The Enabler

I am going to have to call you on something...did you say a 1 year old is fed Cookies??? so sorry love, but that is bad. It should stop...children cannot be obese if they are not exposed to the habits and food...your hubby should be told, sorry - healthy foods and Snacks only.

  8. I have been very aggressive in controling by BG levels since being diagnosed with diabetes in 2007 - I was told I was "no longer diabetic" - what you would call remission, I suppose, since march...right at 2 months out from the surgery.

  12. A few pics to show my weight loss: Me before. Me as a bunny (just kidding but aren't my guys AWESOME, lol). 90 lbs down. before and after on pants - size 24's (not my biggest jeans, either) and men's 36" waist . Not sure how far I will go from here - I fit into almost all 14's and some 12's (12 are tight). I am currently at 190 lbs.
  13. Ok - so I HAVE to share this, and I will try to make it brief. I have a friend who is much younger than myself, and has fallen into a terrible relationship with a very controlling much older woman (older than myself by 5 years). So younger friend is staying at my house to get her head together and think stuff over, and older ex friend thought I would be at work, so she was going to show up and quite literally take her at my doorstep (younger friend is smoker and not allowed to smoke in yard, take it to the curb, tyvm). But I had to go home today to undo the hoses on my old washing machine (ugh a whole other story). I was parked away from my driveway for access to take away said old washer...and I hear raised voices and all this - it is coming from my driveway!!!! I run out and ex is trying to pull friend away - then she sees me. She hasnt seen me since before the surgery. I hear her go - "What the h***!" Just before she literally tried to run away - she didn't get far...let's leave it at that...

    Biggest Loser

Absolutely - you might be able to get your plastics out of it!
  16. Unfortunately kinda - I don't mind chaos, but I can't stand drama. The (I have now determined to be) crazy ex actually used to be my friend...I suppose I never really knew her.

My Goal Is To Be Obese

Congrats on your success, but just because yo uhave never been less than obese does not mean you can't do it. Focus on the positive stuff, new food habits and dealing with issues (at 124 lbs lost sounds like you are doing just that) - but don't be afraid of going past 200 lbs, even if you have to wait and adjust before doing so. Way to go - you can't imagine yourself past 200, I cant imagine 124 lbs lost! I just hope we both get to where we need to be, wherever that is!

    What's The Deal On Hunger?

Head hunger is that hunger that isn't - and it can feel like hunger, but oddly once you identify it, it doesn't so much anymore. I call it trigger hunger...there is always a trigger, something to make it start up. it can be a little confusing because it is totally possible to already have a sensation on needing to eat soon, but then stress or boredom, or habits kick in, and it can feel overwheling. This surgery will not fix the goings on in your head - and we all have them. That has to be acknowleded and worked on. As for real hunger I occasionally get it but it is not the beast it used to be.

I Need The Straight Skinny -Help

Well, 3-6 minths is a big gap - I can't recall too many people saying 20 lbs in 6 months... The sleeve is not a set thing - and on the sleeve - and I am not kidding - don't focus on the weight loss - it is going to happen as long as you focus on the much more important things - dealing with your old habits, insecurities and fears, and figuring out your head hunger and learning new habits, andd eating the way you are supposed to...the weight will drop. You could lose 30 lbs in 3-6 months, I have probably lost over 500 lbs in my lifetime, when you add it up...here is the question, and separates this from anything you have done before - you are utilizing a procedure that has the ability to HELP you not only lose weight, but keep it off. If you establish new, permanent habits you will be able to forever walk away from your obesity, your co-morbid conditions, etc. There are so many reasons why different people lose at different rates - some may not lose at a very fast rate, only to finally go off a medication that was holding them back, while others lose so fast they may find their body needs a rest - and it will make you rest. Make this decision understanding that it is permanent whether or not you achieve you overall goal...be sure you are mentally prepared to be a lesser loser, if it does happen. There is always going to be a spectrum of results with medical procedures - just focus on doing the best by yourself you can. Good luck.

    Nsv- Car Shopping

I guess that was a NSV for me - sorta - I got the Scion Xb limited edition "Hot Lava" for Christmas from my hubby. I think it was his way of trying to spoil me before surgery, he was soooo scared. It doesnt sound like much - but if there are any Sci-cotics out there, you get it
